I've heard people refer to this as Cowschwitz. I really feel for the cows.... this stretch of the 5 always wreaks like a motherfucker this can't be healthy for these animals.
i knew i was going to hear shit about my crappy ipod music selection.
SF Crit Mass was huge... at least a couple thousand. roads are brutal here. tracks everywhere interupted by potholes. cops were following but were extremely hands off... even watched quietly during circle of deaths which these strange foreigners up here call circle jerks.
Rode around Berkeley today, then took the BART to SF and met Richie before SFCM. Met up with the rest of the team part way through the ride. Food and drinks after. It's been good times. Tommorow everyone will be up and then the day after is the BIG ride. EXCITED PANTS!!!!
If you can make it, check out zeitgeist. Its an awesome bar, very bike friendly...last time I was there, there might have been a hundred bikes on the rack in the back. They have the best bloody marys I've ever had. I't a bicycle bar.

I just texted my sister to keep her eyes peeled for you guys. She lives in Oakland.
When do you hit the road? Monday? She's having a housewarming BBQ tomorrow, and you're invited. (She's a bike commuter, and she's fucking stoked you guys are doing this.) She's also a stupidly good cook. Lemmee know if you wanna go, and I'll tell you where. General location = about a mile from McArthur Station.

^^ Please do email instead of posting here, as I can get email on my phone but not MR posts.
Don't fool yourself. Look how happy your little girl is between all those guys. She is sandwiched between those two tall ones. You know how she likes tall men.
While the cats away the mice will play. Its not cheating when one is outside the county lines. Come on Tyler lets play, I can keep you happy and warm.
Rolled into beautiful santa cruz about an hour ago.... what a gorgeous ride down the coast. Team Midnight Ridazz camp is all set... now I have to wait for the food. :(
Woooooow. What a ride today. 105 miles of rolling farmland and 15-30mph tailwinds helping us along. Everyone is asking about midnight ridazz cause our jersys are everywhere. 25 team mates and a bad ass design by Liz will do it.
Most of my pics are being taken on my snap camera so I will share later.
Chungerford snores like a motherfucker. Everyone within a 10 tent radius was crying for mercy last night.
Yesterday we got an impromptu bicycle tour of beautiful santa cruz from carlin, a local friend of jared's. She happens to be a tourguide and rides bikes! We hit the boardwalk, the river, the cliffs and the lighthouse where we had a hollahoop partay. Yes!
I'm having a seriously fun time and everyone on the team rules in their own way.
Hey Everyone! I hope you are having a great time! Cant wait to welcome you home from a safe trip! Keep your wheels on the ground and the wind to your back! Thanks for representing all the fellow Ridazz. Much support!
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL. it was nice to see your road dusty faces and frames. the bikes looked like they had been through a thousand miles of fun terrain. im kinda envious of not having had this experience with you all this year. next year fo sho! congrats to all you heros and heroines!
I participated in the Parade today in Weho with about 40-50 other riders. I was the only TMR and wore my MR Bike cap. Although not really my scene, i must say it really felt nice to be thanked by so many for what all of us have just done and who may benefit from our fundraising. In total, we raised $11.6 million Dollars this year!!!
The MR shirts we wore were so unique. They really stood out in a see of colored spandex on the road. And it was amazing how often i would see one or more of the group on the road, at rest stops or at camp. 20+ riders out of 2500 total riders. You'd think i'd hardly ever see anyone but i was constantly bumping into one of the pack. It was nice to see 'family' so often!
One other "Roadie" (volunteer/worker) on the ride i wanted to thank:
Didn't realize it until i got into camp on Day 1 but Rich to the ie came back this year, not as a rider but as a Roadie to shoot and cover the days events. , it was great seeing another part of our 'family' working with the Video dept. on the Aids ride. He got to shoot running footage on several days as well as shooting the 'townhall' meetings we have every night and the entertainment that follows.
He also really helped me out by looking after my camera gear during the week when my IT Band caused my knee to prevent me from riding at times. On the plus side, it allowed me to shoot more than i probably would have.
DAVE OF SKIDMARXXX IS OUT THERE! watch out! -SKIDMARCUS
Yeah a couple of us ran into him at different points. Meghan and I chatted with him a bit, nice guy. He was rockin it with his dreads and riding a fixie with aero spokes on the front wheel.
Sorry for the double post, but wanted to make sure everyone got to see the Team in action.
Here is my set of Pictures from the past week. The first link are all the Team MR photos and the other 2 are the full sets of pictures if anyone wants to see more of the ride, Red Dress Day, etc.
