If im not working on this day, I will be there. This is great news that they are considering making improvements, but we need a large turnout for this to make a good impression.
Come on guys...FREE LUNCH!!!!!

You need to come to the rides/events that the valley has as well to see what we are doing on our own. Promoting cycling starts with you.

Me along with some of the Bicykillers can be there, but I would like to know more details about what needs to be done...
I ride the entire orange line every day for work, and have noticed no problems...
What's being proposed? What are we fightin' for?

Yes. I will come on valley rides and events. i know. the valley cyclists have done a lot on their own, and i want to support that and learn.
As far as improvements that are being considered, it's not necessarily for the orange line bike path itself, although i've heard that there are SOME things to improve on the path itself (timing and such), it's for ACCESS to the orange line from the neighborhood. Basically for folks who live 1-2 miles away, how do we improve bike and walk ACCESS to it. For example, how can we improve Van Nuys Blvd, Sylmar, Tyrone, Kester, etc etc.
Does that make sense? I'll change the wording on my invites and flyer to make it more clear.
THANKS!

But even if you live further away, it's still very important that you provide cyclists' input on this....the more input the better. And i'm gonna meet with the city council people and such to push this, so if valley folks are really supportive of some things, then i can use that as leverage to push for more. we'll see what comes out of this of course. it's a continuous process.
