i think this is the single most impactful action anyone is taking regarding alternative transportation. congrats. hope to see you on the next ride. plus, excellent pr coverage too!
I remember on a pretty recent Tren Way ride - Richie breaks off from us and takes off up a fwy entrance. I freak out thinking he's drunk nuts and try to go find him. Moments later he comes back and has a big smile on his face. Little did I know that he had a much bigger agenda.
Did you see some of those passes???? He must ride with those real narrow bars. You know, those bars you could ride with even if you were handcuffed? Yeah those bars!
Riding on Cali freeways are nothing compared to Mexico City's!!
Yeah, but Lucas wasn't riding a tall bike! He's a badass 150-pound former racer who rides really nice bikes with other very fast peeps.
Bringing a group of ridazz who aren't famous (yet) for making bike videos with a tall bike strikes me as pretty darn impressive, too, on a different scale.
Fucking Amazing.... everything! Tall bike on overpass which must've been freaky as shiet. Hanging the sign... Rollerbladers.... run in w/ CHiPs.... really great photos from that day.. video editing and Funderstorm. Fucking AMAZING!!
I am SO happy with this, Richie, Photographers, Riders, et al.
This video should be everywhere. I dont know of any other work by people that have the skillset of high-end-d.i.y. production AND the balls to RIDE like this! yeah, we pretty much rule!
I don't think i could ever do a freeway ride for fear of my life. But I must say damn, that is an awesome video! I've watched in 5 times already. like it or not this could be ushering the next wave of rides.
And the people who have the guts to go out and ride the freeway on their bikes to make their statement...that's really standing for something you believe in.
Got a call from a friend in Seattle asking me about this today. He read about it on the Wired site. The used to ride on the LACM ride when he lived here.
