My vote goes for Borfo and his bag full of constant disguises.
He'll show up a different person/species, and fool us all until the last minute.
No one does it better as far as I'm concerned.

I've had a change in heart with my objection of having Joey being the Rida of the Year. I would like to withdraw my objection.
The last weekend would not have been the same without Joey. Now I'm not necessarily saying it would have been worst or better. Just not the same.
Let's all dress as a brofosaurus and celebrate his zaniness! Prefect summer ride.

interview time:
where did you gt the name Joe Borfo from?
Roadblock02.20.08 - 2:17 pm
reply
The name is from a story I never finished that took place in the future of Los Angeles.
KARAOKE HELL
It's funny that the date of the story is now almost coming up.
I wrote it during the invasion of Iraq and it was when I was getting over my depression of my ex. I had just met Maria, we got married in 05 and my life had changed for the better and the story really had no significance for me anymore. Joe Hellvetika Borfo was the main character of this Post Apocalyptic story of Los Angeles who was going to lead a life as a bum in Los Angeles and at night he would become a Karoke Champion singer within this strange community of freaks he stumbles upon, they trick him into thinking he's opened a pathway to hell, but in reality they are tricking him so that he gets a good slap in the face and learns to not be so selfish and self indulgent and ultimately takes responsibility for his own life and future.
I then used the name Reverend Joe H. Borfo at My first burning man event in 04 and afterwards stumbled upon Cacophony society (hence the bunny suits and Megaphones) and finally Midnight Ridazz, So he has been my alter ego ever since.
Thanks for asking, I've always wanted to explain it.
back to work.

Hey why'd i get the grampa used to call me that ,story?
skano02.20.08 - 2:35 pm
reply
My grampa used to call me Borfo or BOAR-HEAD! A term of endearment in a Gardiol fashion.
He would say, "So Joe, what do you know?"
And I would say...... "I don't know. I just don't know"
He died right before I wrote that story, and Joe Borfo was born.

(okay, I should seriously get to work now..)
Precocious Columnist asked:
What got you into cycling (not MR--that's pretty easy to guess--but just riding bikes)?"
-Been Riding bikes since I was a kid. I used to ride long distances on a single speed cruiser with my brother up around Pasadena area, the Rose Bowl and back to NELA since I was 10. It gave me a great sense of freedom and adventure, it helped me realize my fragility, and how I need to maintain a level of responsibility with fun.
What's your political orientation, if you have one and you don't mind talking about it?
-You might be sorry you asked. I identify with a fully autonomous lifestyle. I believe that people should be held accountable for their own actions and that any type of authority is what leads to the degradation of society. Yes, I have an optimistic outlook on humanity, and I have a Utopian view of how the world could be in the future. Humanity if let to follow their own desires without boundaries will eventually learn to find harmony. It doesn't mean we become savage, ruthless killers... We already have that in our government. Our own instincts would lead us towards living together without struggle. We experience this in Midnight Ridazz. We experienced it in Slab City. We create a Zone where we are able to practice radical self reliance and free expression without any rules but our COMMON SENSE. We develop a community of people who look after each other and are able to have a good time without being controlled by authority. I think that we are the seeds that will hopefully mature and sprout the real revolution. This starts by us thinking for ourselves, questioning authority, and following our desires.
Back to reality, I would not consider myself a full on "Anarchist" because there are certain levels of our Government in which I respect (e.g. The Constitution) I lean more towards Libertarianism and Socialism if you want to categorize me.
What thing would you like the most to accomplish while you're alive?
Other than new concept of raising a child. I still want to be a person who inspires others to think for themselves and to not take things so seriously. In what ever capacity I can. I think that's what is most important in my life. And I like to entertain others.
Do you play an instrument?
Kazoo, a mean Cowbell, and a little Ukulele.
Where did you learn to dance like that?
Your momma.
