CruzzWithUs, the valley’s Midnight Ridazz, will have its very last farewell ride, “The Super Big Ass Ride” in July. We have had some great rides, but its time that we move on. There are many great rides going on, and its time that someone else (or a crew) steps up with bigger and better rides for the SFV.
CruzzWithUs has been riding since the summer of 2005, originally to bars and clubs, and joined the Midnight Ridazz in 2006 to put on top notch valley rides. We have had a lot of great rides since, some of my personal favorites are: The Bomchickawahwah Ride, The Fuck Yeah Ride, The Rave Ride, and recently; The Tie a Stuffed Animal on Yo Back Ride.
Thank you all who supported and came out to the valley rides.
rather than end it, maybe it would be best to just hand it off to someone else as is traditional with rides.... you did a GREAT job Speedy and I know people had a lot of fun on your rides... I'm sure the valley is still itching to ride on Saturday nights!
Quit your whining and make something happen. I know there are a ton of you in the SF Valley. Speedy Brian has stepped down as organizer for Cruzz with Us. He will be missed, because he is loved, and well, frankly , it's all about Barchops! Which is basically what Cruz with Us used to be, slow with a zillion long stops! Just how Tren Way likes it.
But now it's time for someone else in the Valley to take up organizing the 4th Saturday Midnight Ridazz. Do it.
Until it's taken over and we can feel confident that a 4th friday ride will happen each month....i'm assuming a route is the biggest obstacle....how about taking the routes from 2005 and 2006 or even 2007 and reversing the route so the rides seem fresh every time. for the slow folks here.....this means to basically do the same routes as have been done but just do them in reverse so nothing looks familiar. This only has to be done until someone or a crew takes it over.
I am so down to keep this in motion. But I've got a lot of other rides I've got going simultaneously.
Let me say, that putting on a ride is NOT EASY!!! You bust your ass off planning, spend all your skrilla making spoke cards, and no matter how much you put into it, PEOPLE STILL FIND SOMETHING TO BITCH ABOUT!
Cruise With Us was my first ride I ever went on when I moved here, Brian is the shit!!! The nicest guy!
I'll probably shoot myself for saying this but... with Brian's blessing, I'd be willing to take over the Cruise with Us ridazz.
BUT I'M GONNA NEED HELP FUCKERZZ! So who's willing to form a sort of Valley collective with me to help keep this ride going???
I would love to step up and take over the Valley ride and continue the tradition that Brian started 3 years ago. I started in September on the Fetish ride and every ride after that has been AWESOME! I also ride on Bar Chops with Brian. Living in the Valley, I want to keep the tradition going.
Hey, Brian, Dan & Larry would love to take it over
Well, since I'm now going to be maintaining a 2-3 day/night a week presence in the LA area, perhaps I could be part of the collective.
Nothing like a scary, growling, ten-year old, Freightliner being my mobile base of operations.
so ffuckin RAD to see all the love and support for SpeedyBrian and his ride. I loved all the valley rides I went on and the themes were all killer too. SpeedyBrian put in tonzz of work over the years. I'm sure after a couple months off the legend might make an appearance or even help plan a ride here and there just for old time's sake.
brian, are you leaving the area or just stepping down from the position of ride organizer? either way, the sfv MRs are always my favorite big ol rides.
count the tuesday night special in on doing that 818 collective thang. aight?
MAtty, that is one of the raddest bike pics I've seen!
Way cool on the support so far! It's all needed to keep this goin... I have no idea how Brian did it himself, but he did and that's why he's the man!
Just got off the phone with Brian, he's not moving! He's just got a lot of things goin' on right now and the man needs to prioritize!
Sooooo, the Valley Ridazz Collective is in effect:
1. Leetard
2. Crossbones
3. Friday Night's
4. Tuesday Night's
5. Alex (Tall Cans)
6. YOU?
Let's meet up a little bit before the Super Big Ass Ride in July to talk details as to who/what will contribute to keeping the Valley Rides one of the best rides of the month!
Maybe it is better to let Cruz with Us retire. Everything in life has its expiration. Everything is born and everything dies, thats the way life works.
Out of respect for the work Brian has done. I would think it would be better to leave Cruz with Us, as a memory. It won't be the same ride with new people organizing it. I would say it would be better to create a new ride in its place and see how it goes over.
I saw this with the original midnight ridazz, when the original organizers stopped organizing it, it was never the same ride. Which I don't have a problem with, (I like that it is inclusive to everybody now and not exclusive as it was in the past) but it not the same ride. These rides now have a completely different feel.
Thats my opinion, I think you will all disagree with me
