no - not yet! gotta wait till summer -
BUT -
Right now we are working hard trying to get the word out about tthe submissions deadline. It has been EXTENDED to March 9th. We want to have the best lineup of films EVER so we need your help in getting the word out to people so they know to send in their movies!!!
We'd love for you to:
post up the flyer on your websites, blogs, other forums where you think there'd be interest, store fronts, college campus' (especially film deps), video stores, coffee shops, places where film-makers frequent etc
Please send me an email to ashira at bicyclefilmfestival. com and keep me updated with where it's posted if you can :)
Also - I'm trying to get a working list of potential volunteers that I can hit up periodically over the next few months to help me with stuff so this years BFF is EVEN BETTER than last years amazingness (BLOCK PARTY!!!!)
If you are down to help in some way or another, (we need people for everything from promoting in the months before BFF and helping us get the word out, to helping day of, and lots of other things :)
The Bicycle Film Festival is responsible for bringing Bicycle films to 16 cities worldwide. We premiered the movie "RIDE ON" about Midnight Ridazz 2 years ago, and played it all over the world. After that movie played this website went live and this community has broadened into tthe amazing phenomenon it is!!
has anyone seen movies by Lucas Brunelle? We premiered his movies at the BFF years ago and continue to support his efforts of bringing you some of the most thrilling point of view footage ever made!!
The BFF art show has hosted work by Phil Frost, Michel Gondry, and Swoon as well as local bicycle artists.
I need your help to make LA the success it needs to be in order to continue this bicycle love affair and get more people on bikes!

I'm going to be meeting Trickmilla and a couple more people at Scoops/Pure Luck tomorrow (7/15) at 6:30 to eat ice cream and figure out who can get posters to which spots/neighborhoods..

i can't do flyers tonight and tomorrow night i'm not available- so sorry because i would love to.
hey! there's a really good movie about the LA bike scene called "The Bike Lane" as told by a bicycle advocate, an LA bike messenger, a bike shop owner, and a cycling coach. It's in the 1:30 program.
also don't forget the Ridazz Made Movies by Donny Digital aka RoadBlock, and StudioDrome in the 9:30 show!!
It was nice seeing Eddieboy back out in the community last night. Now we just need Harry to heal up and rejoin the family. Hope the BFF was/is a success. Sorry i have to miss the 130 and 930 shows :-(
Excellent competition from all, especially that guy Jacob. Thank You BFF, 13 Skids, Orange 20, Puff 'n Stuff, and the rest of the Bicycle District for making it Slammin!!!
Here's a photo of the trophy I received for best overall.
here's the video i shot of ines. i took three different clips because i was afraid my camera was going to die (and not save what i was filming)..so i used imovie for the first time and made into one clip. it's still being processed on youtube but should work soon.
Sexy - I'm glad you were able to make the movies!! thanks for bringing your Dad!
to everyone that helped out - THANKS SO MUCH!!! You guys really rocked it and BFF could not have done it witthout you!
To everyone who came to the movies - thanks tons! I hope you enjoyed them!! next year I'm hoping to have more input as to which movies get in to the LA program..
For everyone who missed the movies but came tto the block party - I really hope you had a good time.
Finally got through the hundreds of photos I took over that fabulous weekend. I'll be posting some here, of course, but if you want to see all of them now, go here:
