they dont get as much credit with the emergence of online music purchases/ itunes/ amoeba but they are good. its worth perusing if you have the chance. most of the dudes are pretty knowledgeable about different music stuff too, so you could prolly net a good convo too!

 I have a great story about Record Surplus:

My boss gave me about 10 cd's so I brought them there to sell. Some were still in shrink wrap. The owner looks at them, looks at me dressed in a suit, hands me $150 and says "i'm looking for new stuff..before it's out...you know, Mariah Carey, Madonna....you know what i'm saying?".....I said "will do"....he obviously thought i was some sort of A/R person at a record company.....I sorta felt bad cuz I've seen the same guy there for about 20 years. I think it's a family business....
