OK, so its pretty much deathly boring so far, cause I've had no real opportunity to explore. But the weekend is almost here and I've finally managed to get out on the bike and post some cycling-related content, so here's a link to my India blog, since a couple folks have asked:

Enjoy. And check back often. I hope to start putting a lot of content up on it. I've learned from experience that waiting until the end of a trip to sort through memories and photos means it just won't ever get done, so it should stay pretty well up to date.

I've finally managed to do some real riding and written up as much as my incredibly slow upload speeds will allow (the remaining photos are still uploading).
Here's a
direct link to the ride report. There's a fair bit of other content on the blog now, too. Jetlag is certainly good for something.

not yet. And not on this trip unless my plans change. I'm heading down to the Indian Ocean coast at Goa net weekend, to stay with an old high school friend who happens to be in-country at the same time, and the next weekend I'm gonna go to Delhi or go ride in the Himalayas, whichever proves easier to organize. I kind of want the bragging rights of going for a himalayan ride, though.

OK, I posted the exciting and fun-filled culmination to my ride to the fort. I'm only 24 hours behind in my blogging now. Just have today's ride to get written up.

Nice blog Sam. Great learning about other parts of the world first hand from a friend.
I am wondering if you've seen any autocabs that are diesel powered? I think it would be kind of rare, but they do make them there. I always thought they would make great city transportation and working vehicles. Lite, nimble, high mpg all the while burning biodiesel.

That's a lot of stairs, there. It probably has some spiritual significance. Westerners probably run laps and use it for exercise. I'll read the article in a bit ;-)
