Yeah Sure!
How many times did you actually ride your bike to work in El Segundo?

psht! It may only seem cliche because you see and hear this stuff every day. To somebody who isn't
in the L.A. bike scene, I'd say it's probably pretty fresh... crescent fresh even.

I considered that, but...no, it's just cliche. This is why a lot of those films at the BFF are kind of a snooze, because they're more like advertisements than documents. Hey, look at our AWESOME scene! Isn't it AWESOME? Look, I can ride in a backwards circle! Check me out, I'm using drugs and alcohol! Now here's somebody skidding!
Also, too much Sushi Robo. People may be trying to eat while watching this thing.

Nice job on the editing!
It would have been nice to see more of a variety of ridazz. Cole and Sushi Bobo is great and all, but we got alot more of that in LA.
I wana see more about the chicks!!
And no hipsters this time!

pc is in the video. hes riding in the background wearing that weird striped zipup that goes all the way up to the top of the hood that makes him look like a fashionable clansmen. you can see him when that kid with the blowpop in his mouth is talking about taking the brakes off his fixed gear.

Awesome job, really! No 5 minute film can cover the L.A. bike scene. Ya can't please all the peeps all the time and most of us are too close to this thing to be objective about it. Like Reverend Phil says, "Think you can do better? Show us what you got!"
At least I got to be in there a little - I'm behind Jack when he's talking about eating children.

People aren't usually at their most interesting or insightful when they're goofing around for the camera at a ride. So when you assemble, basically, twelve minutes of people goofing for the camera at rides, your "scene" may come off a little...I dunno, insubstantial.
White chicks and gang signs.
I'm sure these "bike pirates" don't spout Wildean gems when you stick a camera in their face in a convenience store parking lot, either. Still you can't blame them for seeing what was put in front of them.

wowzers. Can't say I miss the LJ days... but man, those were some particularly unadmittedly envious douchbags commenting. Reminds me of second graders being all "I don't even WANT to be in your

Onix86 can tell that we're hipster douchebags because he is one. Just look at his picture, for fuck's sake. He's one of us. One of us!
This is hipster-on-hipster violence and it needs to STOP before somebody's earlobe plugs get ripped out.
PC12.5.08 - 6:08 pm
reply
Wait, it gets funnier. Upon further investigation, onix86 is a she. A she whose interests include, among other things: knitting, electropunk remixes, Berlin, androgyny (who knew?) and dumpster-diving. Nothing hipsterish about any of that, no sir. No doubt she would be into all of those things even if they weren't massive alt cliches.
PC12.5.08 - 6:19 pm

maybe shes not cereal? oh well. whatever.
Joe Borfo12.5.08 - 6:24 pm

that onix86 girl is in a bunch of sex communities (bad sex, sex tips, feminist sex, etc).
ruinedbyidiots12.5.08 - 6:27 pm
reply
no, shes worse than that. her self worth is depreciating in value quicker than the us dollar.
ruinedbyidiots12.5.08 - 6:31 pm
reply
Among onix86's non-interests: listening to sentences all the way through to the end. Note how she quoted Franz, thinking the quote ironic ("It's about inclusivity and fun. We have a bike gang..."), but neglected to include the punchline ("...and you're in it."), which
amplifies the point about inclusivity rather than contradicting it.
So. A walking cliche, not very self-aware, prone to posting jaw-droppingly stupid things on the Internet. She really IS one of us, and needs to be invited out here as soon as possible.
ONIX86, COME TO LOS ANGELES.
