Fromme is set to be released on August 16, 2009. She has been behind bars for 34 years. Ford died almost three years ago. Fromme is now 60 and currently at the Federal Medical Center at Carswell, TX.

Although Charles Manson himself does not appear on any of the tracks, he is given writing credit for all of the songs. Most of the male vocals are sung by "family" member Steve "Clem" Grogan. Other members appearing on the album are Sandra Good, Lynette Fromme, Catherine "Gypsy" Share, Catherine "Cappy" Gillies, Nancy "Brenda" Pitman and Ruth Ann "Ouisch" Moorehouse.
The first disc is the same music as a previously released white vinyl record called "Manson Family Sings the Songs of Charles Manson." This version, however, has been re-mastered for superior sound. The second disc contains new material and previously unreleased versions of the songs.
The Spahn ranch was on the valley side of the old road (before they built the freeway) to Simi valley.
That was one of the first roads I went on when I got my license, before Manson made those shacks famous. I had hair down to the middle of my back and considered myself a freak, dropping orange sunshine and hitching out to the merry-go-round in griffith park eating those p-nut butter and honey greenpeace sandwiches. but those people were whacked out and scary. And they lived real close. Too close.
They're still scary. no thanks. I hold no morbid fascination of them, at all.

OT, you know there's a really old SST sign here in LB? It must have been from either a studio or a store that is long gone. The only thing standing is the sign. I'll see if I can take a pic of it some time.

the movie was called THE RAMRODDER.
It is interesting to note that Manson and family lived in Canoga Park at 20910 Gresham St. in January and February 1969, which put them within blocks of many of the larger publishers of the adult slicks at the time.
It’s a wonder that some of Manson’s girls didn’t end up posing for some of the magazine photographers as they were known to turn tricks on occasion when money was tight. Catherine “Gypsy” Share did play a nude Indian squaw in the sexploitation film The Ramrodder in which Bobby Beausoleil also had a part playing an Indian brave.
The expert tonite at Book Soup thinks this porn film thing is just a rumor. It may have happened, but a film has never surfaced. The family was involved in drug crazed orgies and bribing guys with sexual favors, but that's as far as he knows for certain as to the extent of these activities.
