$750 for this???

It's a nice, undetermined make/model, 21-speed tandem I came across at the Hesperia Salvation Army while perusing old, 10-speed frames(which I didn't find).
While it appeared spotless, $750 for a used tandem like this one from a second-hand shop seemed quite excessive.
I've seen new ones going for the same and even less than this one in bike shops.

isn't there a shitty tandem in burbank at some thrift shop for $1000+? That's cool.

it's gone, but it wasn't a shitty tandem, it was a Santana with lower end components.

Someone at that shop knows what a tandem is worth otherwise it would have been $30.

Still, this is a rather, run-of-the-mill tandem that should be going for between $200-$300.
$750 is a little overpriced for a thrift shop.

that thing new is $250 - $350. They probably mistakenly added a zero.
I would think $65-$75. Then again I noticed I could get pants for new at a cheaper price then the Salvation Army. If you really want a laugh regarding overpriced thrift stores go to the Santa Monica Salvation Army on 11th, i don't know what they are thinking or think the prices they charge are worth it.

I bought this tandem new for $600 in 2004.
It looks similar to the one you found, Bent.
I predict they will not sell that for $750.
I found my single speed (which was fixed when I bought it) with quality components and a nice cor-mo Fuji frame in a local thrift store for $90 and I thought that was a little pricy.
Of course I bought it right away.

I still think you walked away with a fortune for $90.

Borfo YOu have no idea what a steal you got.
That area you found it is the bike buying secret of Southern California.
I can't believe I let a titanium Merlin with ultegra components @$1,000 go. I'm so kicking myself for not buying that bike. Yes it was sold in the same area.
