The way I see it I live in LA:. so might as well root for my home team. So weather they lose or win the Championship Im still going to say Go Lakers:. :)

I offended some Laker fans today by asking "who's playing"?
When I watch a game i totally enjoy it ... but that goes for just about any sport.
As with all sports, when i change the channel it completely leaves my mind.
If I go to a game at somebody's house it's 99% for the company and 1% for the game.
Don't get me wrong I fucking love LA
more than most people I think.
I'm never prouder of LA than when I am at the LA marathon, riding with MR, hanging at the bike district or seeing a great band at the Smell.
And as much as I like the fact that the Dodgers were named after the working folks of brooklyn who would dodge their train faire. I still think that mindlessly supporting a local sports team is a little bit like being mindlessly nationalistic. Go us. Fuck them.

But that just how i'm feeling today.
I still root for the Lakes and wish them well.
But honestly I can't make myself invested in going out of my way to watch.
I'll try and tune it to the last 15 mins of the last game.
I'm sure it will make for some exciting TV without all the commercials.
Theyre going to play 3 road games that means they might just win it over there if they keep playing like today they might bring it back here for the win. I think road game equals small riot home win equals huge riot
I'm not watching this series because the NBA on ABC/ESPN sucks. Not sucks as in, total haterade. Sucks as in, sucks nuts and chews dickcheese nuts sucks.
I can be one of many who screams bring the NBA back to NBC. The roundball rock still lingers in my head for what was the best the NBA has on TV.
But I'm going to call it in to say the Lakers got a lock on this sweep.
I'll ditch game 3 of this borefest and watch the Stanley Cup. Seriously. NBC's coverage of the NHL has been a revival of what they did on the NBA. It's Sid the Kid vs. Pavel the Shovel (or something).
I'm a Lakers fan through and through, but the crap on ABC is killing me. It'll remain that way til 2016.
I actually caught that last game by accident.
That was some exciting ball in the last 20 mins ... which is the only time i really pay much attention anyway.
I hope lose in FLA it'll be fun to people watch at the clusterfuck that will be a home win here in L.A.

man i had a chance to watch the game sunday in person...it is a TOTALLY different experience watching it live...and upclose. Wow it got really close but man brings me back to the days i used to kareem, bird, thomas, olajuwon...fuck i miss good basketball :)
if you recall...when the Lakers won the championship with Shaq and Kobe...we had a small riot for the first year... the next two years, there were no riots...

2nite we go up 3-1 and thursday back in LA to wrap the SUNS up and then revenge angainst the the green guys from the east. The Bucket in Eagle Rock in serves 1 dollar beers during all LAKERS games.
I can't stand any of the Boston players including Nurse Rivers.... Fuck them! This is a 2008 re-match! This game is so intense and aggressive already! All I gotta say is that I hope LAPD has enough rubber bullets/tear gas when we sweep Boston and their hidden money outta LA

I love how "fans" or critics come out of the woodwork at this time of the year and only this time of the year. We didn't just get a free trip to this point because we happened to have won it all last year. A lot of work and dedication goes into making it to the big dance and some of you really have no clue.
It's obvious, and I'm as unbiased a fan as you can get, that the Lakers have the better, more talented team. The refs have been shit the first 2 games and I don't see that changing the next 2 games or so, and are really shaping what could have been a really awesome and epic series into a borefest parade to the freethrow line.
