Need Bike Trailer

Is anyone getting rid of a bike trailer? Maybe one of the ones that you use to pull kids in. My girlfriend wants to be able to take her dog around with her but he's too big for a basket. She needs a bike trailer instead. If so, email me and we can talk $ or trade.

I have a trailer, I sold my kid and don't have a dog. But I was considering keeping it for groceries. Let me think about it before this weekend.

@wtehf "dogs + bikes = bad idea."
why is that? they even make trailers for dogs. How is a dog different than 2 kids in a trailer behind your bike?

Really? I know Raquel brings Jenny on rides, and Pasadena Sara brings Sake on rides. Both puppies seemed pretty content on bikes.

Cole uses a trailer to tote his dogs around. They seem to love it.

Isn't the whole idea of taking the dog out, to give it some exercise?
What am I missing here?

yes but there are also instances when you want to let's say take the dog with you to a friends house, take the dog to the dog park which isn't walking distance, etc... She would rather be able to take the dog out to have some fun with her instead of leaving him in the house.

And so I guess you can't walk the dog to the park or walk it less than 20 miles? I had dogs growing up all my life. I'm trying to figure out how I got by without a trailer?

the park is not walking distance. glad to hear that you grew up within walking distance of the park. your dogs must have been very happy. too bad all her friends don't live within walking distance either, and too bad she doesn't have time to walk everywhere she goes.

It's just a fucking bonus Al. Stop being such a naysayer. Did you complain to Alan for putting a basket on his bike to carry Toby on 2nd Friday rides???

No, Toby was a small dog, no big deal. The thing couldn't run very far anyways. So why don't you guys look for something like that?
BTW, I didn't live near a park. The closest field was blocks away. Looking back, the last thing my dog would have wanted to do once it was out of the yard, was to ride a trailer! The dog wanted to run, walk and explore.

the dog is bigger than toby but has very small legs and can't go very far. Plus he's heavy. A trailer is the best option. It will give him plenty of room and allows him to get out of the house more often.

aw man, i miss seeing toby!
theres a homeless guy who is always panhandling outside the pavillions on alameda/main in burbank who rides a bike with a trailer. theres always a dog perched up on his trailer and its the raddest looking thing ever.

yeah toby is a really cool dog. haven't seen him or alan (not user1) in a while. anyone know where they've been?
we really want to be able to get the dog a trailer. He's a great little guy and loves to just hang out, so we would like to get him out of the house anytime we can. We don't want the use of a bike and lack of a car to be the reason we can't let him enjoy outdoor activities as often as us.
