Is there a rule on MR that says we have to post all rides on the calendar? Is it wrong to want to maintain small numbers for a ride and among people you feel comfortable with? Did you know that occasionally we do post rides on MR and invite everyone to come? What control of MR are you referring to? Can you give an example? Also, what defines an egotistical need?

What is the big deal? There are tons of rides to go on every night. Many people ride with friends and don't post rides. What is the stink about exclusivity? Tren way is a bunch of friends that ride. I have never seen any of them toute their ride. What I do see is a lot of people trying to compare tren way to their posse. Who cares. you have your crew that you like to ride with. Most people join many rides and don't belong to a group. In the end the more people out there riding the better.

1. on rides... almost any time i hear someone say something rude/insulting, etc... i turn to see who it is, and 9 times out of 10, it's a member of tren way. the rest of the time it's people who are following in your footsteps. believe it or not, a lot of the ridazz respect you guys because you have been around a long time. so it makes it very important that you all set very good examples. in the forum, it's pretty much the same thing, but in a different form.

3. the touting is done discretely, in a very clever way i might add... it's woven throughout different threads. like when you invited la duderina a while ago. there's nothing wrong with riding with your friends, but when you talk shit about midnight rides/group rides, but still go on them... that's the problem. if you hate them so much, then do your exclusive rides exclusively and don't participate here. (keep in mind "you" refers to second person plural: y'all/tren way).
the egotistical need is the need of power/control (i'm not going to explain where that comes from here, it's human nature). since you talk shit on the rides, one would expect that you would not be so active in the community... but that's not true. and i think it's because you enjoy the power/respect you have from many of the ridazz.
since you have a backing, you feel safe freely expressing negativity and being aggressive toward others. if you were just someone on your own, you would either stay anonymous like md2 (haha) or you would be more careful how you interact with other people.

I think I know both sides of this argument due to the fact that I have rode with both of you cats in the past.
Just agree to disagree. I say this not to be compulsively diplomatic, but because both of you guys are good dudes that represent different types of ridazz. Snowcone is pretty extreme, he will lead an extreme ride in extreme conditions, but somehow this cat can pull it off. Joe Borfo is old school, he has old school ties and old school bonds, a trait which takes time and effort to cultivate.
This is the extent of my exposure to them both. For all I know, Borfo was probably just as extreme as Snowcone back in the day or even still is, or perhaps moreso. On the flipside, for all we know maybe Mr Cone will have just as strong time-forged bonds as Borfo does, in the future or even currently.
What I wonder though, is do you even know each other well enough to have such a bickering blitz?
Borfo's wisdom whether for cereal or in his classic manner of jest, is illustrated by his offering of a fresh start earlier on..
I'm not going to suggest anyone do anything in particular, but for everyone's sake, I will offer this as a closing remark:
Respect your elders. They have been surviving on this sphere much longer in one way or another.

Revs Borfo and Dak have collectively organize a pretty large number of 2nd Friday rides...not to mention Salton Sea, not to mention Ridazz Camp at Burning Man last year (and Rev Dak did a ton again this year). Do you know how much fucking work any and all of that takes? People in Tren Way, and people who are close friends of Tren Way, contribute a lot to MR because we care deeply about MR. All of us.
