alex rides over coldwater canyon like it's nothing, finds any excuse to take go riding (ie going out of his way to pick up orange juice), makes it a point to carry as much shit in a messenger bag as humanly possible, tells riders to hustle their asses through red lights when they decide to ride through them, excels at polo and other biking stuff and still manages to be adorkable, dances, and is an overall welcoming and a positive person with beard.
moving on from the flattery, a few questions:
1) you like eating raw tofu...wtf is wrong with you?
2) how often do you dine at que rico's? on a scale of 1-10, how substantial are your post-que rico's shits, 1 being rabbit pellets, and 10 being of h-bomb magnitude?

I have done some 4-6 person Valley rides with this foooooo. There are so many things you would never knew existed that he knows about, let alone knows 8 shortcuts to get there.
I would have done the Play in the Valley ride if it weren't for Honda motor co. making the 1997 Accord SE in beige and some d-bagger taking me out on friday morning. I have other bikes but no extra body parts to use.

I definitely better post quick here and answer my quesitons, I dont want this thread to sink!
My first Tall bike is the one I ride right now. I bought it from Paul immediately following his Ragnor ride a couple years ago, after he made me wait a couple months to use it in a Chopercabras battle royale. I took it home and on my first bunnyhop the steering broke (this bike was a war orphan, conscripted into Battle Royale service)
My Morey and I rebuilt the steering and over time I have replaced everysingle part at least twice, dialing it into the most stable tall bike ever.
The first person I ever recall meeting at MR was Jack from O20, back when he was a lot huskier, this was during Bike Summer '06

I first got into Polo thanx to Matt Vidal, of labikepolo.org I googled la bike polo and his wesite came up right away. I'd been playing hockey (left wing/center) for about 10 years but almost completely dropped the sport when I started biking it everywhere. After I got my fixie 4 years ago, I stopped skating.

1) who's a bigger badass, rev106 or tupac? who throws better parties, skidmarcus/richietotheie or kayne west? who's a better leader/peacemaker, roadblock or jesus (or in your case, the dali llama, mother teresa, or some similar figure)?
2) what do you think about fireworks on rides? speaking of fireworks, what do you think of the chinese? do you like the 626, if so, why?
3) the 818, 310, 323, and 213 walk into a bar. who'd most likely order a fuzzy navel? who'd have the fuzziest navel? who'd wake up next to andy dick the following morning?

I prefer rev106 to Pac, G-d rest his soul, if only because he gave burth to my Tallbike, Skidmarcus and Richie throw parties 100x better than Kanye West, Fireworks on rides are dope when used properly, but lets not get that started again, I still owe RBI 5 bucks, and the 626 is great ;)

I noticed that there is no posted ride in the Valley this Saturday Night!

Ride starts at Magnolia and Tujunga
If you are like me and can't go a single weekend without the beautiful Los Angeles privilege of a party ride, and would prefer one in the Valley, then come and hangout with me. It will be party pace. Im not expecting hundreds of people for this, and my route and stops will reflect that. 10-20 miles tops.

Damn people ROTW is the best thing that could happen to me, every day this week I think to myself how badass it is to be able to tell people I am Rida of the week, I feel so loved! People who aren't ridazz already consider me a bike nut, but to be voted by other bike nuts as Tops, well that's as good as it gets.
This title made me go on more rides to more places on my bike than ever, not just the commute to work and Polo, but extra trips to the Bicycle District, and even the K Town ride! Shoot, I almost wanted to call my NO RIDE the ROTW Victory Lap, but I backed out at the last minute because that's too cocky, even for me.
I really want to thank everyone who took the time to post up these nice things on this thread because it's such an unbvelieveable honor, after all these years of going to rides, competing with other ridazz on the streets in these hustles, these polo games, drinking and smoking with you people, I can't ever go back to regular partying, never! Maybe I will sober up in a few years or just barrel thru my dirty thirties, either way until I can't even ride a recumbent, I'll be right here!!!

Srsly not since Bike Summer 06 has a one week period of my life been this dramatic! I started the week at 12:01am Monday riding my bike, on the Play in the Valley Ride. Monday I hosted the Labor day Polo BBQ. Wednesday I went to Koreatown to ride. Saturday night- I think we all know what happened. Today I said goodbye to a great friend and Polo rider for a few years after playing a few games with the best players in the city.
What have I learned? When I go big and throw awesome rides, I put myself out there at everyone's mercy. The same souls who made me the ROTW I am for the next hour, are the ones who could tear it all down.
I'm here to ride bikes, get new people to ride bikes, and score goals on the Polo grounds. If you wanna kick it, I'm down. If you wanna player hate, get outta my face and start your own ride.

Did anyone mention that Alex (along with Phillip) took 2/3rds of the competitions at the first Bicycle Film Festival block party. Shoving it in the face of all the Valley naysayers.
Alex represents the SFV in a strong way.
The first time I ever encounterd Alex, we found ourselves riding down Wilshire Blvd together and got into a deep conversation. Alex was one of those rare breeds that like to talk to strangers on bikes. I really appreciate people that are friendly. This was before these rides where even happening
Alex exudes coolness and is contributing much to this community.
Thanks Alex, Los Angeles is better place because of you.
