DUI for marijuana.

I was driving yES driving,I hit a DUI checkpoint.I had smoked maybe 4 hrs ago,my friend had taken a hit maybe 20 minutes before in my car so it still smelled strong..They asked me if I had smoked weed.I told them 4 hrs ago.They did sobriety test,I was nervous so I think I choked on some the test.The cop told me to give the pipe to my friend.I didnt have any weed on me nothing.Any advice ,SGT Krumer where you at? or any ridaz ? should i just pay the fines, or fight it?

Never self-incriminated yourself. You have the right to remain silent. I would suggested you never admit to something that is going to put yourself in the jaws of the criminal justice system. But I'm not Sgt Krumer, you didn't ask me and you have already incriminated yourself, so this message is for everybody else who will read this.

you did not have to answer the question directly
last time i was asked this, my answer was "oh i'm so sorry officer! i have my doctor's note here somewhere, the marijuana is either in this backpack on the passenger side chair or the backpack in the trunk" he then requested the doctor's note, called it in, gave me a speeding ticket, and then i was on my way. i didn't say that i had smoked, i sure as heck was speeding though, man it reeked hard when he pulled me over

Yeah can't admit to smoking it....but if it reeks in the car then that is still probable cause for them to do some tests I guess...I sure hope this never happens to me.... I try not to smoke in my car ever when I'm driving it...but I do sometimes in the parking lot on my lunch..LOL fuggit...I didn't say that...I do have my rec though..

Fight it! You don't have a BAC to speak of and you were at a DUI checkpoint. Not pulled over for reckless driving. You should of not said you were high, you could of lied and said that you gave a friend of yours a ride before arriving to the check point. But you didn't. Always lie to the cops if you can get away with it. I have a current outstanding DUI. There's fees, fines, and school time. Plus those annoying MAD panels. I still have yet to pay for any of it, besides the 5 days I did after pleading guilty. With a BAC of .21, shit I not gonna lie, I was drunk and driving. So fight that shit my ninja! You weren't drunk so why should you pay? Smoking and driving is not a crime!

Marijuana gets you high. It alters your perception, just like drinking. Don't drink an drive, don't toke and drive. Grow the fuck up, take responsibility and know your limits.

Don't worry about what you said at the scene, nor within this thread. You can just defend those statements by saying, "I didn't really speak accurately because, at both times, I was high out of my mind".

Hippy Sippy, your logical is flawed driving under the influence is a crime. And do you think they would have you through if you had a plastic bag of heads on your front passenger seat just because it was a DUI checkpoint???
Better defense on a driving under the influence charge is to say . . . . . . . ... wait for it . . .. . .......
you were not under the influence. Say it might be in your blood and piss but the effects of the pot had completely worn off.

Well I only was honest because its worked for the last 15 yrs ive been smoking,I always tell the cops the truth and they let me go sometimes even with my marijuana.I guess it backfired this time and I told him the truth I said" I smoked 5 hrs ago and far from being high" he told me step out did some test and i guess i failed.I had no weed on me nothing not even a pipe.It just reeked
