I am corresponding on behalf of Meandmybluebike as she is away from the computer and her MeandmyblueBeatle is in the shop as the rubber band broke and needs replacing. As such, she is a bit carless and most likely won't be able to make it to Scoops today. She's hoping her car is all better by tomorrow sometime, otherwise she'll have to wait til she gets back from Franz, i mean France in a month. (she leaves on Wednesday). And when asked if she was gonna check in on the forum and give us an update on her trip, she basically said 'don't fucking plan on it'.
Me, i'd gamble her car won't be ready before her trip so you guys should go and eat all the vegan mango ice cream without her.
I could have sworn i heard her mumble something under her breath about that she was running low on horn fluid and that might have been the problem.

I hereby propose that the Hollywood to East Hollywood Ride become the Hollywood to East Hollywood Critical Mass. It will be held on the first Saturday of every month. It will follow the exact route posted in this thread, every time. Spoke cards and bathroom breaks are mandatory.

I've never been to Scoops. The only times I've been at Heliotrope and Melrose have been after Scoops was closed. You know what that means? It means I'm not really a biker.

Katiepoche. Its not that you are not a real bicyclist, it just that you are not hip. Maybe you can get TrenWay to sponosor you for the contest in relation to everytime you fell off your bike, like when you where a kid with the popsicles . $1 for every crash you had riding with TrenWay. You say you don't ride with them, maybe you should.

The ice-cream eating contest should not be on 6.7. That's for the ALC MR Welcome Home woot woot. We shall not steal their thunder.
BUT. I'm very excited about 6.7, both for the ALC yays and also so I can look at the scoops with an eye towards how many scoops I can eat in 8 minutes and also-also so I can size up this monorail vampire ice cream cat .gif. I'm pretty sure I can take that cat down.

OMG! EATING CONTEST! WHERE?
Apparently people were somewhat impressed (or disgusted, which is really being impressed) at my ability to eat many ice-cream sandwiches at the Venice CM. So it looks like I have some promise? I can't do it before 6/14 though, but any time afterwards is excellent for me, as I will need to gain 20lb after that date anyway.
However we train (or don't), this is the way I'm going to compete: Karate Kid bandana, Survivor's Eye of the Tiger blasting in the background. I can picture it now, but I'm too lazy to Photoshop something resembling the scene.
PS - The scoops vampire monorailcat is extremely awesome indeed. I volunteer to pay for scoops vampire monorailcat spoke cards.
