24hr Grub List

I've found myself in this situation too many times: the ride I'm on ends; my crew and I are on our way home but we're hungry, and it's 2am (or later). We just gotta find something to eat. Carl's Jr and Denny's are out of the question; we want something with character (well, a different kind of character, anyway).
So where do we go?
Share with us! List your favorite places to eat after hours. What neighborhood, what kind of food, what price point?
Northridge (technically) on Roscoe and Balboa:
El Indio Mexican Restaurant: cheap, delicious, probably kill you, GREAT after a ride. They put milanesa in burritos. What more could you ask for?
North Hollywood on Magnolia and Tujunga:
Sitton's North Hollywood Diner: traditional "American fare," not the cheapest, but pretty good to chill out, maybe sober up after a party ride. Bottomless coffee, huge breakfasts served around the clock.
North Hollywood on Victory and Coldwater:
Que Ricos: most (all?) Valley Ridazz know about Que Ricos. Cheap alternative to NoHo Diner, Mexican food all day and all night.
DTLA (sorta) on Beverly and Rampart (other locations for the weak of heart):
Tommy's: I'm surprised how many people have never been. Super cheap, ultra-delicious, unfortunately not even close to vegetarian-friendly... chili you up!
My list is kinda weak, which is why I'm starting this thread. Strengthen the list!!
reply
I'm sorry but tommy's el indio Que Ricos should be on the same as Denny's and Carl's Jr.

coral cafe in burbank is open till like 3AM.
you can get a hefty meal for about 8 to 9 dollars.
they have cheaper spreads for like 5-6 dollars.
they have a huge menu.
everything from greasy diner food, to greasy mexican, to greasy breakfast, greasy everything.

There is that burrito place on Santa Monica and Vermont that's not bad. Watch out for plenty of Tranny hookers there though.

"coral cafe in burbank is open till like 3AM."
Hell naw, Mike. The Coral Cafe is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. I should know... me and my friends are always there late late nights just having coffee in the back. Careful though, a lot of police officers love to frequent that spot for the same reason but as long as you don't act like a complete drunk or asshole you'll be fine. Try their cajun shrimp!! MMMmmmm good.

I'm actually planning a "tour de foods" monthly ride where we'll hit up amazing late-night food joints so i've been studying some favorites:
DAMIANOS MR PIZZA. this place is on fairfax ave. at oakwood ave (between melrose and beverly). this is EASILY my favorite pizza place in LA, hands down. slightly expensive (2.75 a slice w/o tax, 3.00 flat with the tax) but i cant find better pizza anywhere other than new york. open till 6 AM on the week and 7 AM on the weekend!!! WTF?!?!?! this place specializes in all-night, amazing pizza, and a huge selection of beer too.
BENITOS TACOS SHOP - right down the street from damianos on the corner of fairfax and beverly, this place is open till 2 AM sun-wed and 4AM thurs-sat. easily my favorite bean and cheese burrito in LA. the way they make their tortillas is unlike any other place i know, you just bite in and it's so juicy and delicious, YUM. only 2.99 for the B&C? PERFECT!
cinco de mayo - great 24-hour mexican place on the corner of washington pl. and sepulveda bl. a favorite of taco tuesdays, they give huge portions at great prices, although tito's taco next door is my preferred place, they close around 10 or 9 i believe so cinco de mayo is great. johnnies pastrami is great right next door too, dont know how late it's open though.

don't shit talk cacao. that place has been around forever, and is probably one of the few coffee places, let alone late night places thats completely independently owned. the two dudes who own it now [ they acquired it recently ] are also some really awesome guys. used to go there in high school when my cousin worked there and hang out. although the crowd there is super weird now. i think mostly recovering alcoholics?

Down the street is Dupar's, open 24/7 @ Fairfax & 3rd. I kinda like the buttermilk pancakes, sometimes.

No-Ho Dinner
11329 Magnolia Blvd
North Hollywood, CA 91601
(818) 761-3341
Just two blocks from the NoHo redline (subway) station caddy corner to North Hollywood Park (Amelia Erhart Statue.)
reviews: http://www.yelp.com/biz/andrews-north-hollywood-diner-north-hollywood
Amazing place for cyclists, Indoors is encased in huge stained glass panels, outdoors there is an out-door enclosed smoking patio (with fireplace) where you can site and eat and smoke right next to your bikes (if you lock them to the gate enclosure).
Friendly service, great breakfasts from eggs Benedict to huge bowls of steaming oatmeal with all the fixings (berries, brown sugar, nuts, etc).
One of the best tuna melts and french fries in town - ask for it on sour dough bread.
Homemade pies, tapioca and chocolate puddings, and ice cream for dessert.
Excellent daily dinner specials and breakfast, lunch and dinner are served 24 hours.

You'd be surprised. My partner in minor property crime and I tried to hit a TJ dumpster one night a little past midnight and there was nothing. Nothing! I guess you have to visit this particular spot right after they close or it's already picked clean.
