Future of RideArc?????

Does anyone know what's the plans with Alex and RideArc? As you know, there was no RideArc this month. Got a message at the first of the month from another rida that said there was going to be no RideArc this month and there will be some announcement on RideArc. Yet I haven't seen any announcement.
Would be really sad if RideArc is no more. :(
The website states;
The format for RIDE-Arc is changing, as is the frequency. This is being explained through a newsletter on the RIDE-Arc e-mail list and will be posted here later on in the evening on Friday November 7th, 2008. There will be no ride on Friday, November 7th, 2008. Thanks for your support!

I am working on some ridearc style rides for next year. Obviously I cannot emulate the great rides in the past, but I like the concept and will be trying to honor it with my rides.
