Winter Solstice "Save Santa" Santacon

Ho Ho Ho! Merry Solstice! Yes, Virginia, there is a Santacon Ride 12/20 at 12:30!

Calling all Santas, reindeer, elves and polar bears for the next San Buenaventura Bicycle & Social Club Ride December 20, 2009!

"Save Santa" Ride meets at the San Jon Road & the Ventura beach bike path; ride with Santa to the Ventura Harbor and back to downtown for music and sunset.

Santa or North Pole-esque Suits ARE necessary for this ride!

Bring musical instruments to help make merry! Bring your own cup to make less trash! Bring cash for carousel, food and drink--no cover charges for music.

Here's our proposed route so you can ride with us or join us along the way:

12:30pm San Jon Rd & bike path

1pm Marina Park (2 mi)

2pm Ventura Harbor Carousel (2 mi)

3pm Aloha on the Promenade at California St. (food & drink specials)

4pm Watermark on Main at Chestnut (live band & sunset)

5pm Good (Theresa Russel band plus drink specials for Santa!)

If you stick around or the whole shindig, you'll need lights on your bike to get back to your car.

Ride round trip about 10 miles total with most of the miles early.

Children welcome; under 8 need to be on bike trailer.
