Kinetic Sculpture Race Humboldt County 08

I just got back from visiting my mother in Humboldt County, and she turned me on to this Kinetic Sculpture Race. After checking out the museum, I decided that we had to either bring this to LA or bring the LA Midnight Ridazz to Humboldt.

Anybody interested in a trip up north this Summer?

 they do one of these in ventura every year as well.
ventura is a lot closer too.

 yes, but the original is in Humboldt. Plus there are a ton of breweries to ride between and miles of beautiful greenery. (no pun intended.)

And if anyone has a 215 card, you're allowed to carry up to 8 oz of marijuana in the car with you to take home.

 As far as I know it's always Memorial Day weekend. I went in 2005 and it was a fucking blast.

 There's also a movie on this that these people made. The last time it showed around here was in Santa Monica a few years ago. Good flick too.
