Disneyland RIDAZZ?!
Thread started by animal at 12.13.08 - 11:19 pm

Whoa.
So, what if we did a ride to Disneyland? Would anyone be interested/willing to do that?

I was there today and there was an unusually large number of ravers there. w/ their beads and fuzzy pants and everything.
Turned out there was some facebook event calling for all ravers to just go to there and romp around.

So, I got to thinking: what say we do a ride? Could it work?
A day where a bunch of ridazz just enjoy a day at Disneyland.
And IMAGINE! You see a rida in line, join em!!
I don't know, could be fun.

Thoughts? Comments? Typical negativity?
Go.

I would want to go when there's all the ravers!

And Katella is a good road to take. Not sure if it's the best, but it's a good one.

I think the main problem would be the $$$$.

That place is a fucking rip off if I've ever seen one.

yeah, it's expensive. but, i guess it depends how much you enjoy disneyland. all it is is forking up the money for the ticket, which is a bitch. but, inside the park you can get by on not much. my friend only spent $13 today. of course, he brought his own lunch..

it would just be fun if there were a bunch of ridazz there on the same day, riding to (and maybe from) together.

riding bikes IN disneyland.

that would be fun.

there's all kinds of tunnels underneath the park. If we could get in through one of those....

I LOVE this idea!
I live in Cypress, 8 miles from D.L. so this would be a Ridazz Ride in my area.
Some things to be aware of: Downtown Disney is free.
This dosen't have to cost a cent.
HOWEVER, Disney regulations do not allow the riding of bicycles anywhere "on the property". It's a City Walk kind of environment, and security is heavy and tight. I was reminded of their no bike rule when I was crusing through their parking lot last summer when meeting up with my daughter who drove there.
As far as I know, there is only one medium size bike rack next to Downtown Disney, where the kitchen workers lock up their steeds, so to park and walk around may even be a challenge. I am sure security would frown on locking up a bunch of bikes in "non-designated" areas.
That being said, it is possible to figure out a way to do this, and you know I am in. I am happy to do a few runs to the park and get better information on how we can make it happen.
Ball Road is the best approach to the park. It's a straight shot from the San Gabriel River bike path. Katella is very narrow and dangerous at the 605 freeway/river crossing. Cyclists have been hit and killed there.
The best route is L.A. River trail to South Street, South St. east to San Gabriel River Trail, trail south to Ball, Ball east to the the No-Bike Kingdom. Distance from Olvera Street, 35 miles.
You can take the Blue Line to Del Amo. The distance from there is 19 miles.

that is a sick ass idea...we could pitch in and get a bunch of hotels to accomodate us. New Years perhaps?...A little after new years?

Do we really want to give our money to Disney? They have enough. It would be dope but I wouldnt want to contribute.
