also, the more voltage you put through these the brighter they get (until you burn them out) attach a 9 volt battery to 'em ; )

Long's Drugs (at least the one near me, YMMV) has some pretty sweet sets for $4.99 in multi-color or plain white. One set's enough to do a bike frame, so you might want to check that out.
