Yes, speedybrian was there indeed.
We found a shov'a in a white Honda who opened his door to hit a rida, but we grabbed him and grilled him alive as if burger.
Then we placed him in buns and ate as if 4x4 from In'n'Out.
Then we chased after some fine honeys later and drove 'em up to make out hill.
Of course he's got a woman of his own, so he only wanted some of the fine, shov'aburger which we grilled with flamewomans fire.

I hear you Richie about the about the size of rides, but what I love about crank mob has nothing to do with size. It's got to do with participation. Crank mob is the most participatory thing (read, not just ride) I've ever been involved in save burning man. Whether it's costumes, tall bikes, jousting, djing, breathing fire, bmx trickin, or just being super positive, I feel like the amount of people participating is off the charts.
I don't think that amazing energy can be replicated by size alone. Granted my involvement in the LA bike scene is limited to a few times a year these days, but I do think we'd be much better off figuring out even more ways to encourage participation and not worry so much about size.
My 3.5 cents.

Why do people always ask "What does C.R.A.N.K. stand for?" and "Are you really a mob?" and "What does C.R.A.N.K. mob even mean?" when they should know that there is NO questioning of C-mob (by the way, do you mind that abbreviation?) and either way it should matter because CM is the best!?!?

jonnyboy - There were 52 riders in attendance of the first C.R.A.N.K. MOB in September of 2007. Coincidentally, the spoke cards were designed to look like playing cards and we had exactly enough spoke cards to accomodate the number of riders.

tallcans4tallbikes - Presently, C.R.A.N.K. MOB still has not yet been conceived. When we go on C.R.A.N.K. MOB, we are travelling to the future. Yes, we always knew that C.R.A.N.K. MOB would reach such epic levels of epicness because we just always have to keep outdoing ourselves and well... the sky is the limit. C.R.A.N.K. MOB will return when you least expect it -- but remember this: C.R.A.N.K. MOB never ends.
