SMCM Photo Op Idea

I am going to be at the next SMCM, with my daughter and our bakfiets. I was riding to get dim sum with Chicken Leather and Black Woman Sidekick this past Suday talking about it and we had a funny idea:
Sticks+Zip-ties+Twine+Donuts = Fishing for Cops
I am going to bring sticks, twine, donuts and zip-ties to the ride. Think about it - a pack of bike riders with donuts hanging from sticks attached to their bikes.
The extra attention from the cops would make a lot of sense in that case, wouldn't it?
It would also be a very funny picture.

I would like to offer a friendly amendment to this motion: instead of fishing poles, have a folding table set up with a bunch of donuts and one of those office pony kegs of Starbucks coffee (remember, to today's cops Starbucks is the new Winchells). Hanging from the table is a large paper sign that says "FREE COFFEE AND DONUTS FOR SMPD OFFICERS"
And underneath in smaller lettering is a witty punchline, like "Don't harrass cyclists in Santa Monica...on an empty stomach!" Only, you know, wittier. Than that.

No...I withdraw the motion. Poles and twine = funnier. But you have to make sure to bring enough for everybody so that nobody can possibly miss the joke.

I love this idea. I want to get a photo op of me dangling a donut in front the cops before the ride! Maybe I'll play the pied piper and lead the cops on to the beach?

I ca picture User1 now ... fig leaf, donuts on sticks, standing on point and sashaying down to the boardwalk.
