Earth Island Journal has their summer issue out and devoted solely to transportation. One of my favorite articles was about writer-activist Katie Alvord and her lastest book, Divorce Your Car!

 I like what Ms. Alvord had to say about reallocating pavement. I've seen this happen in Sacramento. When I rode there, there was practically zero resources given for the bike rider. I went back this earlier this summer and the transformation is amazing. I'll be posting up soon the changes I documented.
