Lecture - Adding Iron to the Ocean

OK sorry for the late addition to the calendar, but I just got news on this today. There's a lecture at the Long Beach Aquarium titled "
Adding Iron to the Ocean as a Way to Address Global Climate Change." Lecture starts at 7pm. We'll be meeting at the Long Beach Bike Station at 6:15 and rolling at 6:30. The stop you want to take if you're rolling into LB via the Blueline is the LB Transit Mall stop. Head East at the stop and you'll hit the bike station. You can see the bike station from the platform.
The
route we'll take to get there is an easy route. It does have a downhill section with a serious drop with a light at the bottom. Make sure you have water, a tool kit, spare tube, and a pump. This will be an all out every man/woman for themselves. It's gona be brutal!
I made reservations so don't sweat that.
We'll take a scenic route back if anyone has any energy after the lecture.

The lecture last night was awesome. It not only had all the eye candy most kids want these days, but it also had some great research findings presented! The current population's contribution to CO2 gases is currently tripling previous rates, and that's not where we want to go. The scientist that presented this lecture has a partial solution, but it's not a invite to continue on this current trajectory. More info can be found at this researcher's company,

The lecture hall was awesome but the turnout was rather poor. I counted about 25 people with at least 10 of them being employers of the aquarium. No one showed up for the ride, which is what I expected do to the short notice.
For those that maybe interested, there's this debate going on tonite.
