My wife and I drove up to San Francisco this past weekend to attend tour de fat because we both have a deep love for bicycles, beer and music and we had a blast We met some great people on the ride/parade and found out they are going to bring it to Los Angeles next month -Just wanted to let everyone know they will be in town on
10/23/2010 at L.A. State Historic Park - 1245 N. Spring Street Los Angeles, CA 90012 Also found out the S.F.P.D. does not dig tall bikes there were about 2500 bikes there and only one other tall bike come to find out he got a ticket so I put mine in the bike vallet drank my beer and took the round about way back to the motel- I cant wait till the show rolls into town and the best part is its free!

Free to get in to the event. $5 donations accepted, all proceeds going to charities (environmental and cycling advocacy).
Beers are $5, but New Belgium pledges not to retain any of the proceeds. All of the money from this event is going to charity.

Can't wait for the tour de fat in LA though!
Legally drink in a park in la. Not to mention food, music, and freak bikes. No more parking lots... At least for a day.

they have a little freak bike corral with a bunch of different bikes you can take turns to ride- plus a slow race and all that- and they gave away a bike. Its a traveling show kind of vibe --and yah you can drink good beer in the park
