Helmet sales

I don't remember what time of year they have close out and bring in new stuff into bike shops? I think it is spring if I remember right.

List any info on sales from big shops or online retailers. I'm looking for a new helmet.

 wheel world always has sales on some sort of helmet. one week they'll have a $70 helmet for $40, and the next week it will be a $140 helmet for for $70. they also have skate helmets for $15-$30.

but FYI people, a more expensive helmet is generally not as safe as a cheap one, $$$$=air vents. that being said, the safest helmet is the one you wear EVERY TIME.

 Check out big 5. I got a skate helmet there for 12 bux. They recently had a promotion that if you sign up for their email list you get a 5 dollar coupon off any product. Dont know if they still have it, but check out their website.

 Most helmets are CPSC certified, and they're about equally safe. Some have more venting than others.

Target's got one for $16.99 that's CPSC certified and looks fine.
