 When we were out at Slab City I was one of the only ones to have service out there. I think that would make a great AT&T commercial!

 Speaking of service .... I was taking the train to work today and this chick busts her phone out and actually tried to make a call then looked at it like what? L.A needs to step the tec game up on the subway we need wifi and service underground ...

 When I checked about a year or so ago, there is access points for wifi down there. It's just not hooked to anything. But there was wifi through the whole line. I think you can get phone service on the platform at Wilshire/Vermont.

 O yeah .. I thnk thats why she tried to do it as we were stopped right at that stop ... but I did know the silver streak bus has wifi.. I wasnt to sure about the underground lines ...

 you can have mine, I don't have a need for it. I took it with me when I studied abroad. I has a couple of scratch marks since I used it as a bottle opener a couple of times

 cell reception is based on line of sight, and it bounces off of things, the vermont station has a direct view to the outside from the platform so you can get reception if you stay by the escalators
