So i work at a cafe about 3-4 blocks away from SkidRow.
and recently i met a family that comes here a few times

really nice family
the lady has 2 boys which are fucking smart as fuck.
due to this economy they had to live on the street for a couple of months and barely now shes trying to get her life together
got herself a small one room room for herself and her boys.
they kids always see me riding on my bicycle and told her mom they wanted some
but she knows she can't buy them any


soo i've decided that i'm going to built the kids a couple of bicycles.

so if anyone has any OLD parts they don't need

Pedals
Frames
Brakes
Crank Sets
Rims
seats
and don't need them or would wanna sell them FOR LOW COST like cheap almost free

i'll take them
i already got some parts
tubes, chains, tires, grips

Go to the Bike Oven and explain what you're doing. You'll walk away with two free bikes. You'll probably have to do some work on them, but should be free.

i haven't had a chance to check the oven out but yeah i might do that

and to whoever sent me an email about the hybrid and is donating it ! let me know who you are

might get a non profit org. to give us a tax number so we could tax write off as Donation and time

depending on how old they are, the kitchen also has some kid's bikes right now too. but why don't you bring the kids to one of the co-ops and have them learn about bikes at the same time. double bonus.

Yeah the Bicycle Kitchen and the Bike Oven are both good places to checkout. Also look at the schedule and make sure there's someone there you can talk to BEFORE going down there.
