We're swarming the desert with Bentstrider (those of you who swarmed portland will remember him as the truck driver who met us and had the Hummer bike.)
We're meeting tonight at Bikerowave between 9-9:15pm. I'm driving and can fit 3 more beside myself and Richie. Please read the ride posting.
Who's in?
reply
whoever is in, better also be into some long underwear and some warm clothes, and gloves. Temp is dipping down to 35-40 tonight in deserts.

I spent two days in the desert last week. Pioneertown, Joshua tree, Lucerne Valley. I saw some cool places for camping but way off road. Not good for road bikes.
Be careful out there. Riding in the dark on deserted two lane roads where people go 80 mph is kinda scary.
Actually the weather is very nice now for day rides in the desert.

I conveniently live a mile from the Vons starting point.
I'm planning on taking you guys on a 15-20 mile, introductory excursion.
I'll see if I can't post a routing in a little bit.
Anywho, thanx Jude for posting this.
I was getting to it, but I was cleaning house and clearing head earlier.
See y'all at 11:15-11:30ish!

Nah, nothing like that I'm afraid.
I'll most likely be getting an Actionbent, "Jetstream" in a few weeks.
Larger wheel diameter=mad speed over distances.

Richie, if we need another rack we can drop by your place to get it. I hope we get another rider or two.

This was actually the route I took the Hummer down for its "shakedown" cruise.
It had to be at least 25-30 miles.
Easy terrain, but some desert scenery to be enjoyed.
The stars shine brighter once we're in the shadow of Bell Mountain.

@marino.
It's a 20min ride from where I live.
Take the 15N and exit @ the Main St exit and go east to Topaz.
It's somewhere in there.
Anywho, this ride was considerably bitching despite there being only three of us.
The Linguist/Archaelogist(myself), the battle-hardened, career officer(samhain), and the reckless demolitionist(richtotheie).
We spread the word of "what a false god was", chased a dying, power-hungry, alien into it's starship, and managed to ring a warhead into it as a going-away present.
DS-1 saved the day, by doing it in the middle of a cold, night!!

Pretty much best ride of the night, week, and week before.
High altitude air is...BITCHIN.
Great ride, even better roads.

Yip, it's about time we add some chaos to this "sleepy bedroom town". Before the "hip-gangsta-wannabe's" gain a monopoly.

I was wonderin' how many offers to buy sum crack you encountered in Victimville? I had no less than three while shooting a commercial there.
