"La Bici Ruta
Every Sunday from 8 AM to 12:30 PM more than 5 kilometers of roads in Merida are closed off to traffic (east to west streets do have traffic so you must follow traffic rules and obey the stop lights) allowing cyclists to enjoy a morning of bicycling in a family-oriented ambiance that is healthy and safe. The Bici-Route runs from La Hermita de Santa Isabel (Calle 79 by 60), north to the San Juan Park, continues north to the Main Plaza, then north along the Paseo Montejo to the fountain by Burger King. You can get onto the Bici-Route at any point."
