Hey Ridazz
Nathan from vegas here. what's the info on this event? i plan on coming down possibly with a few others.
also, anyone going to lucero the next night?
reply
This is a cool ride. Good 'ole boys and girls getting together and riding. The focus is mostly on stops along liquor stores and bars. No themes or agendas. Drinking is encouraged.

IF IT RAINS ARE WE STILL RIDING? I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE A STUPID QUESTION, BUT I'M NOT READY TO GIVE UP ON SUMMER YET, LOL

This would be a great first ride! I missed last months ride so I'm not sure of the new end point. I thought I remember reading that it was close to the start point but I'm not sure.

Yeah... the start and end points are pretty close to each other. It's under a 2 mile distance so it's real easy to get back. I drive and park right by the start (plenty of parking) and I've never had a problem getting back. This one would be a great first ride and cruising the downtown L.A. area at night is great. Good group of people and the S&S crew are good at sweeping the back section to make sure everyone is alright.
Just make sure your bike is in a good rideable condition and that you've got your tools... tubes, tire levers, pump, patch kit. People will be willing to help but there might be a time that no one sees you and you're stuck by yourself. Bus tokens. So be prepared or find a buddy that has all the stuff and you'll be good to go. Lights... i'd recommend it but with a group... you'll be seen with with just the group as a whole. Protect the noggin but you don't have to if you don't have one.
As far as it going to rain for tonights ride... I think I'm going to go. Accuweather.com's hour by hour forecast says the storms will let up by 8pm. I'll see how it goes.

Ok... I just rechecked the forecast and it says 52% chance that it'll rain around 11pm-12pm and let off. I'm going to do this. See you guys there.

Great freaking ride... Man those weather guys were on point with that forecast. When we took that break at Vernon and rode through that neighborhood.... man was that crazy. I've never ridden in the rain like that. Man.... was it pouring!! Thankfully it stopped when we had to two flats. It's like the rain peeps said, "Oh crap... they've got flats... let's ease up and let them change them."
Good amount of riders though. I would say at least 50? For a rainy night? When we got back... I think we had at least 15 of us that stuck through it till the end and then we decided to drop by bar 107. Thanks Charlie for the drink. Sonny... Max... smooth moves w/ the ladies on the dance floor. Good times all...
To those that took the spills... hope all you guys and your bikes are alright.

Thats right Roadblock, recognize!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to everybody who helped us out last night
Max for your immediate triage and non-diagnoses, and getting us outta of the street. SC_Nomad and his trusty friend "The Wolfpack", for making sure we got back to the car safely, and helping us load up the MT-1000. You two truly live up to the words "No rider left behind" Thanks Thanks Thanks.
Sorry....kyber and fuzzbeast and anybody else who went down with us. You two are guys are true riders, you just got back up and, where ready to raise hell, sin's and sprockets style.
Bigsexxy knee is a mess, ACL injury is painful for her, but she had a blast riding in the rain. She, hopes she is feeling up to going to SF-Oak next weekend for the celebrations. Can't keep a good-Big-Sexxy-girl down.
Spoke Card was of a cool design, Great art work
That and watching the riding stop for Charlie to take a piss, where the two classics of the night.
