Since Forte wants us out of her thread, here is a new one.
The Frogtown artwalk is an once a year event. Two dozen art studios open up to the public. The art varies from flame throwing robots, to conceptual art, to photography, to architecture. More info here
www.frogtownarts.com
All the studios are in the same five block area and it's easy to walk from one to another. Yes. They are so close it's not even worth locking/unlocking your bike.
Frogtown photographer Paul Redmond offered the following in conjunction with Bike Oven:
Paul Redmond Photography has a photo studio right next to the bike path. I'm opening up his studio for bicycle people to come in for photos. The studio will be the hub of activity for anyone on two wheels. This is a party/awareness raising event with the Bike Oven to coordinate riders from the Eastside to show up, inform, and inspire people about bicycling in L.A. Lot's of art, design, music and events happening as well.

Marino!
Thank you for posting the ride and photos.
I have a couple of pinatas on order to kick off the proceedings at Paul Redmond's studio. I'm also going to lead a crew of people from the Bike Oven down to the studio at around 5:30 p.m.
We'll leave around 5:30 p.m. from the Bike Oven, located at 3706 N. Figueroa St. Los Angeles, CA 90065.
The pinatas will represent things that get destroyed and lit on fire. The bikes will represent the future. It is going to be a great night.
