So, in case no one knew, Santa Monica is planning to cut down over 50 of their downtown ficus trees, and replace them with sapling ginko trees to "To make the streets more attractive to the shopping public."
I say booo to santa monica!

I don't know about you, but to me there's nothing more attractive than a barren street with no shade trees, and the sun beating down on my head during the summer. Cut them down!
Also, can we do something about all the stupid parks? That grass isn't making anybody any money.

I won't rest until the entire Los Angeles basin is one giant concrete urban heat island. Streets are for cars, damn it, and so are sidewalks after I've had a few mimosas. Cut 'em down!

Trees are dangerous! They kill ridazz and drivers! They are truly equal opportunity killazz. And they never have to do the time. Doubt me? When was the last time you've seen a tree do time? If you can't do the crime, don't do the time!

A tree reading a book?
That would be like cannibalism, sort of.
