here is their blurb:
We're riding our bicycles from NorCal down to Palenque, Mexico with no support car; setting up our human-powered sound system along the way for FREE shows to educate the public about the greatness of the bicycle lifestyle. Hell, if we can ride our bikes 6,000 miles, carrying our instruments and sound system, a lot of folks can ride to the store.
This is the Pleasant Revolution people! We started pedaling on October 31st, 2007 in the Sierras mountains of Northern California, and we’re going to keep pedaling over 5000 miles, all the way down to the ancient pyramids of Chiapas , Mexico . No sag wagons or cars to help us haul our stuff – we're carrying it all on our bikes! Right now we’re riding to a FREE concert up on the hillside of YOUR TOWN, and this is your invitation to come and watch the sunset with us! Rock the bike with The Ginger Ninjas, SHAKE YOUR PEACE!, and YOUR LOCAL BANDS too!
You're invited to pedal our 800-watt human-powered P/A! That’s right – our sound system runs on YOUR leg power. Sexify your biking legs while making some noise! Yeah —I said make some noise people! (crowd cheers) Every song is an audience participation song! Bike culture’s blowin' up y'all – come find out how to do your 2-wheeled thing, and get in on this Pleasant Revolution!”
Up on the hillside the 14-person Tour Caravan sets up incredibly fast, kicking their Xtracycle longbikes back and enagaging the pedal-power units. As the band strikes up, the crowd smiles and knows they’re in for a treat. In the cheering after each song, a new audience member volunteers to take a turn pedaling one of the 4 bicycles that run the P/A system. Everyone feels the magic in the air: “We’re doing it ourselves. This is human power. This is my kind of revolution!”

These guys were so inspiring I had to see them again last night! They are due to leave LA today. What an adventure, 2,500 miles heading south and then back home. Hopefully on their way back they'll give us a couple of weeks warning. Would love to put together a big ride for them.

It sucks, cause I want to go down here in Diego. But, they haven't posted where the show is.
I must be uninvited or something.
Guess I'll go ride ma bike instead.

Drew,
Those guys are really hard to track down! If you don't find out where they are, and if they are still in SD, contact Joseph at the Bike Oven, or what I like to call it, the Bike LOven, and see if you can get their number from him.

I really enjoyed the Ginger Ninjas concert. I found out there are two bands on tour together - Peaceful Revolution and Ginger Ninjas. Only Ginger Ninjas performed on Sunday at the Space Ark Gallery.
I heard they are heading to San Diego 12/6 in the AM from Laguna Niguel, and will arrive in San Diego 12/7. They leave San Diego 12/8. Subject to change ofcourse.
They have a pretty cool setup - Four Xtracycles with generators that can be engaged while they're riding or while the bikes are on stands. The power is stored in SuperCapacitors to power the 800 Watt sound system. They carry all their gear on Xtracycles - instruments, clothes, sleeping bags, power generation, amps, speakers, etc.
