I was talking to the local bike shop I go to about these when I was in there last. There was a tandem recumbent in there that had one. It was being serviced by the shop. Richard, the owner of the shop doesn't like them cause it invites people to climb and sit on your bike. We were talking about them being on recumbent btw. Anyways it invites peeps to climb on your bike when you're in the store for example. Then you come out and your stand is broken and your bike is laying on it's side. He wasn't too sold on the stand. The one we were discussing is that nice one that folds up to one side above. He said the price on them was about $50.
I got mine from ebay. It took awhile, but I finally found one from Belgium. It's not as nice as the one above, but it does the trick. I used the search term "center stand" and watched on ebay. Mine cost less than $20 with shipping and it's used on my electric bike.
Not sure where you get the cheaper one posted first, but that one I've seen used on quite a few bikes.
