Making route maps

gmap ped works well for most routes, but check out:
http://www.mapmytri.com/create
it does the same things as gmap-ped (using google maps) but allows you to make notes at points along the route, specify the type of stop, calculates elevation and inclination along the route, automatically generates text directions, and a bunch of other sweet stuff.
give it a look.

yeah i use that sometimes. it's the same as mapmyride.com which took over routeslip.com. The text directions are nice.

I'm really digging the google maps api itself now that the've created a route tool... havnt used gmap ped in a long time...

www.mapmytri.com looks really sweet! What doesn't it have that's desired? Can't think of anything off hand.
Seems to be the goto mapping site!
Now if I can remember the freakin name!

I want to see an application that allows you to upload pictures to your map. Video would be cool, too, but pictures ... Yes, please.
And links. I guess you can add links to the notes, but what if there were live links IN the map? Crikey.

I prefer MapQuest...That's a good one too
