CAR-FREE FRIDAYS!



LAST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH IS "CAR-FREE FRIDAY!"

More bikes on LA streets for a healthier and cleaner Los Angeles!



LACBC Ride

When: Friday, March 27th 8:00 a.m.

Where: meet @ North Hollywood Metro Station; end @ Van Nuys Metro Station



Councilmember Tom LaBonge will be joining commuters this month for LACBC's Car-Free Friday ride starting at the North Hollywood Metro Station. The ride will go along the Orange Line busway to the Van Nuys Metro Station where cyclists can grab a cup of coffee, have some breakfast, and share stories.





PLEDGE TO RIDE!

This month's goal Get 2 friends or co-workers who do not ride regularly yet to pledge to ride on Friday, March 27th.



In order to pledge that you’ll be riding, please visit LACBC blog. Or, you can email aurisha@la-bike.org to let us know how many new people are riding their bikes on Friday, March 27th. You and each new rider will receive a free gift!





Be part of the solution! Riding a bike once a month will greatly reduce congestion, keep your heart healthy, help you stay in shape, save the city money, and help to reduce our carbon footprint.

 i tried to get coworkers into this last month... by offering to lead a ride from NoHo station to our workplace (about 4 miles away) and it was a huge disappointment. Nobody was interested. It was sad. I just got a plethora of emails making jokes about how cars were invented so people wouldn't have to ride, etc, etc.
