Joe Borfo's Blog Entry # 1:
I'm so lazy today. I haven't gotten any work done. I don't want to be here. I have to do the dishes. I have to walk the dog. I want to go to Ride Arc. I need to buy a bike for my wife. Or a tandem. My budget is tight. I need to fix my bike too, dammit.
I'd like to re-do a ride somebody did already, but I didn't get a chance to do. The Buk Ride . All the places Bukowski drank and lived and stuff in LA. We should do it on his birthday or something. Somebody already has a bike route of it on bikely. I'm just going to copy it and change it up a bit. Why? Because I'm so fucking lazy.

bentstrider, log entry #1.
Made brief contact with a car-napped cyclist at the bank today.
The recumbent still remains on the fritz, the rear-tire blew a hole through the sidewall below the bead.
Don't expect any supplies until next week.
While working out this early AM, I may have spotted overthehill's, long-lost twin brother.
However, this individual was eerily, unamusing.

@user1
-That was taken back during the last time I was driving the rig, in Arizona.
More specifically, 30 miles east of Flagstaff on the 40, a place called "Two-Guns".
Apparently, this used to be an old, stagecoach/railroad stop before all of that was diverted and the town dried up.
It's mainly classified as both a ghost-town, and a short-lived, tourist trap.

I GOT A TANDEM BIKE! It's so cool! It rides like a dream. Thanks to Mr. Sexy, I now am the owner of a Trek tandem bicycle T100 Doublecross. Its black with red letters and it has a brooks saddle with copper rivets! Its got great shimano components. Brand new custom built 700c wheels. The former owner is a retired electronics engeneer who is moving out to Arizona. I got a deal at $325 for this baby. Trouble was I had to drive out to Ventura, but Sexy went with me to make sure I was getting a good deal. The guy used to race bikes and he really took good care of this thing. Maria and I rode it around and its FAST! It's really solid and I'm friggin excited about it! Now I can get my wife out to more rides, hopefully. I plan to ride it out to Tren Way ride tomorrow solo. So if anyone wants to ride the back tomorrow, let me know.
I have jury duty for the first time tomorrow morning. I'm kind of dreading this. I can't wait to take out my new tandem. I'm even considering taking it to a Hustle Tandem Race if Roadblock ever gets one together. This Coming week and weekend is going to be amazing - Tren Way, Mother of all Ridezz, San Diego Post Apocalypse Ride. and the meaningful Memorial Ride for the late Harvey Hetland.
Get Ready for BORF!

Point of information, if I may: how are we going to do the San Diego Post-Apocalyptic thing and the memorial ride (assuming it's this weekend) at the same time?

Never mind...the memorial ride will be at a later date, per the LA Wheelmen.
