just got word he got hit and was found unconscious on the road.I found out he is at usc county hospital.No word on his condition. stay up brotha you a soldier! oh man i hope it all goes well.

from what i have gathered from people, including his mom, no one knows what happened. sounds like a hit and run. no camera at the intersection.

spoke to his mom this morning... he is in ICU @ USC about to go or getting ready to go into surgery. he is in critical condition.
Anyone else wants to come with to go pay him a visit?? will try to visit him as soon as im off of work...

Hey all, I just got back from the hospital, visiting with Manny.....
He's is stable condition in the ICU with some head trauma but no broken bones, The doctors couldn't tell us what actually happened, and Anson was under heavy sedatives.
He could hear us though, I'm sure of it.

Just called the hospital on Marengo and they cannot seem to locate his record.
Anson's last name is Howard, right? They asked me if he went by any other name but I didn't think that they would have him underr D-styles LOL!
Is he in the hospital on Marengo or the one on San Pablo? Room #? Anything else helpful?

For those who are planning on visiting him, this is the latest from facebook:
Anson's health update - Vitals are good & doctors are hopeful & will attempt to remove ventilator from Anson today. Please pray for a smooth & timely removal & a full recovery of health & spirit. Thank you all from the bicycle rider community for your support, phone calls & am asking you to hold off on visiting him in... the hospital until we get him off of the vent & is in better condition for visitors. Thank you all so much for your prayers & support!!!!! Anson's parents, Debi & Mike Howard

Just went to USC Medical Center to drop off a Get Well Soon card and talked to his family. Per his family's request, all cards and good wishes are welcome. For those who want to go to USC, please just leave cards at Nurses' Station, or you can look for his family members in the waiting room. Please also feel free to leave words of encouragement on his Face Book page. He is breathing without mechanical assistance and he is fully responsive, but he can't talk just yet and gets very agitated when there are people around. So if you do decide to go to USC, please do not go into his room until the family gives the go-ahead. Thanks.

Here's the latest from Anson's mom:
Thurs 8/26 7:35am - Thanks again to all of your wonderful message of support, prayer & love for our son, Anson. His eyes are open right now when I called his nurse & am to call back after staff reports. For all the reasons this has happened, in amazing 11th hours, the biggest results was for Anson to be off of the vent...ilator. We know we have a challenging time to experience, but, most of you know that miracles happen all of the time and we are expecting a miraculous healing & total restoration for Anson. Hugs & Blessings to all of you. As has been quoted before "Keep those cards & letters coming in!" This will mean alot to Anson & has to our family that you are coming for support & leaving the notes/cards & messages on Facebook I asked you to do for us to keep for Anson. We are still asking that you refrain from coming to the hospital, because of his head trauma, he is agitated easily & cannot talk & let us know what he wants/needs yet. Pls. b understanding & we are keeping you posted as fast as we know something whether from me or family members there with him. Blessings Always, Debi & Mike Howard & Families

Anson's Health Update from Anson's Mom, Debi:
Mike & I were able to talk to Anson last night. He needs a lot of rest & healing, but the great thing from his head trauma, that he knows his family & was joking around with his Dad on the phone. We are still asking his friends to wait until he is stronger to receive visitors. He was able to eat ...last night. I spoke to the nurse at 3am today & he was resting and coming along in getting better.

Pls post that he is respondg to family + eating a little. Having short memory which is common for accicent. Pls ask for prayer that surgery is not needed after tests + a full recovery.

the news you've been waiting for!!! Ansons short term memory is coming back. The hospital staff is encouraging phone calls & more visitors (pls. use discretion on how many friends coming to see him) you can call him thru his nurse: 323 4097405 bed 130a - lac usc medical ctr. Pls call/text me first b4 going there - pls. call him tho - becuz his mom has put restrictions at the desk where u would get your id ck'd & a wristband to visit him.

i have some facts for you...
docs @ usc med ctr said i suffered severe brain trauma and was
found laid out unconscious on the road...
responding officers were laughing @ me and refused to file a police report ,
LA city fire paramedics were upset that i was laid out in that intersection for
two hours & thirty minutes before help arrived , and the pretty chica that ran the
red light and pushed me into what doctors call "insanity" ,
well i hope shes doing better than i am...
