FOOD POISONING

I have it since Sunday night after eating a 1/4 pounder from mcdonalds..... 36 hours later and i'm starting to get better...Please share your horror storied dealing with this.

never eat at marie calenders! both times i ate there i got really sick. im not sure what they use to make their pie's. nasty!

on and when my mom first came to the u.s., the worked for Mcdonalds. She said when they dropped meat on the floor, they would just pick it up and put it back to cook. shit is gross!!!

once I got salmonella/chigella from something I ate in NY.. probably street meat... anyways.. it was horrific. I was waking up with screaming cramps any time I could even fall asleep.. I was puking and shitting and sweating and crying for a couple days straight... my boyfriend at the time, an NYC messenger, bike messengered my shit to the doctor in another part of Brooklyn so he could test it cuz I couldn't move away from the toilet.
oh yeah - this was right after 9/11 and my mom (good Jewish mom) had got me and my 2 brothers rounds of cipro in case of an Anthrax attack on NY. Well that was what my doc prescribed for me, so I took it (after promising my mom I'd get a refill in case of an attack) and finally got better..
I wouldn't wish salmonella on anyone.. it was incomparably awful....

Yes yes yes yes!
But if you can't even seem to keep water down, make sure you are just sipping it at first. Be super duper extra easy on your stomach, even with water. A gulp or even a regular swallow in some cases is enough to make you start heaving again.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that! Food poisoning is shitty. Do you know if it's staph or e. coli? Look up your symptoms. If it's from e. coli you should see a doctor. That stuff can stick around in your system forever and weaken your immune system. E. coli is quite dangerous. I hope you're ok soon!

Read the book Fast Food Nation and you may reconsider ever eating anything at McDonald's. The author did his homework too with sources and notes in the back of the book that are almost as many pages as the book it self. Since reading the book, In & Out is pretty much the only fast food place I will eat anything from.

E. Coli killed my grandmother, no joke.
Food poisoning BLOWS, I've had it before. It's one of those situations where, if you're lucky enough to have your tub within range of your toilet, you're happy cause you can use both at the same time.

SICK AT Mc Ds. Me too ! last month. I heard they have a new employee training program. They now make sure all the workers now how to wipe there ass with the burger buns, that's what gives them that special flavor. mm mmm Mc Donalds,

File a complaint.
First go on line and file, then tell the manager at the store where you got the bad burger.
#1, they need to know this happened to avoid others getting sick.
#2, Mc's being as big as they are, they will compensate you. You may not want it, but they will (should) offer you $50 or $100 worth of free food. Nix that and see if they will pay you money for your down time (lost wages) and illness.
Food poisoning is worse than the flu. I had it last December.

just got off the phone with cna insurance defending mcdonalds.....first question: did i seek medical attention....no i didn't....her response: denied....i'm gonna pursue it still. she was a total bitch....after watching the movie SICKO, I can't let up on this....

i pretty much stay away from fast food because i get sick everytime anyway...but not as sick as you are.

make sure you're not just drinking water though... like when you're riding hard, even if you're drinking a lot of water, you still risk severe dehydration if you're not replenishing electrolytes.
If you can't drink Gatorade straight up, mix it with water, or use electrolyte tablets. I recommend the "nunu" brand.

Holy crap, wanna talk about food poisoning, I went to the LA Galaxy vs Houston soccer match on Sunday and I am STILL sick, feel like a giant is punching me in the guts, after 5 days! WTF!!!
DON'T EAT THE HOT DOGS
Between that and recently watching Food Inc, I haven't eaten meat in 5 days (except a little sushi the other night).

Dude, I highly recommend seeing the movie
Food Inc. It's a good look at how ass backwards food is in this country, it'll make you mad because the food system is just really stupid.
