donation sent.
it's just a matter of time before each of us has our own serious brush with the police for the crime of not driving a car.

Fight for bikes?
Or fight for your right to throw a bike at a police officer?
Or fight for a big fat settlement?
I resent that Justin's taunting of a cop and and subsequent belligerent behavior is portrayed as bike activism.
I resent that pictures with the midnightridazz logo are posted at the fightforbikes.com website.
That's not what we are about. When police officers stop by at one of our rides we don't antagonize them, we talk to them calmly and explain to them what we do. We don't sneak behind them and taunt them which is apparently what Justin did.
Who is Justin?
How come nobody knows him?
How often has he come to the rides?
Can we see a picture?
Bio?
What makes him a bike hero?
If you fuck with the cops, fuck with them in your own time not hiding behind a big group of people that have no such intentions.
I understand that the family is trying to help. He is facing felony charges and no kid deserves to be thrown for years in jail for one night's drunken? behavior.
But please tone it down a notch. This has nothing to do with bike activism. It's one kid and one cop who lost their cool one night in East LA.

its great when people start writing things, after it has been requested they not write it.
It even better when they don't really know the story, and write something different then what happen.
Marino at least put the disclaimer, like I did.
This is what I heard, I'm speculating. I didn't really see what happen

Again - we are asking kindly that you only contact us if you were a witness and that you do not fill this board with comments.
If you have something that you would like to share - say it to us directly - or post your own thread. This is not a place to post what you heard from a friend who heard from a friend........
We want WITNESSES - that means you were there and saw it yourself.
I don't think thats asking too much.

Thank you to the people that have come forward as witnesses. Every one else I appreciate your opinion on this matter, one or two I will file away with the other excuses I hear for injustices in the world. Hopefully you will never find yourself in the same folder.

Hi Justin and thanks for introducing yourself.
I'm sorry this happened to you on your first MR ride.
We've met our share of a..hole cops, we've gotten our share of bogus tickets but we've never seen them go "I'll run you over" on us. I'm sorry it happened to you.
I hope you feel better. I hope you find all the witnesses you need. I hope you beat all the charges against you. I hope you win a big fat settlement. And I hope you donate a portion back to the community.
I still think the "fightforbikes" name is a bit on the corny side and somewhat divisive as it puts the bike community against law enforcement which is not what we are about.
I wish it was "fightforjustin" and/or "fightforjustice". The story of the young out of town visitor who runs into the mean small town cop.
But I could be wrong. I don't want to judge you. I understand you can't tell your side of the story on this forum at this point. I apologize if my earlier comments were harsh. I meant no harm. I just did not want to be drafted into a cause for a person with no story and no face.
Thank you for coming out and introducing yourself. I'm looking forward to meet you in person and I sincerely wish you the best outcome.
Please any witnesses contact Justin above.

Thanks Marino, I prefer the fightforjustice name. All of this happened so quickly, and really all we are trying to do is make sure this can't happen again. This was never about singling me out as the only victimized biker, trust me I have seen the police abuse their power on plenty of people other then myself. The donation was actually not my idea and the only reason I let it go up was for the reason of it not being for me but for the whole bike community and possibly others. It’s like this; if the police did this to you or anyone else the money that’s in this account would bail you out.
As soon as I get this altogether I will be posting a landline phone number that anyone can call collect if they arrested/ran down and need to be bailed out. Thank you everyone once again and hopefully we can start seeing this as a positive thing that can even bring all of us closer then we were before. EVERYONE IS ALWAYS WELCOME TO RIDE SAN DIEGO, no matter their options on this matter. LETS STICK TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!
Love for all,
Justin
I am pleased to tell everyone that in the 2 days of the account being up there is 200 dollars all ready donated from people as far as Florida.
