Last night was a pretty good ride. This is turning into a pretty cool way to spend a tuesday night once a month. Beats watching Globe Trekker or Huel.

I agree Dave, it was a fun evening. A much better way to spend an evening than sitting on the couch in front of the tube.

Pretty Good!!! *%!# U
That ride kicked ass. He even got buttons now.
Lots of fun was had by all. We all stopped for the one flat we had. I got to meet someone I probadly wouldn't of talk to, if the flat didn't happen. Then while fixing the flat, we had a reclaim the street party right in a residential part of the valley, people where dancing together, fun was had by all. The reclaim the street party ended, when the flat tire was fixed. We rode major street to side street to alleys, through the back of the Galleria. Yes I say it kicked azz1

It was a great ride indeed!! It was the second one I attended, and I hope that they get bigger and bigger each time. The addition of the music was awesome. I hope that everyone spreads the word and even more people show up.
Good times. See you next month!

bringing this post back...
Just a thought for tonights ride. Being December and all, I thought it would be nice to check out something for the Holiday's, and what better way to do it then on bikes, with other people on bikes. My thought was to head over to Candy Cane Lane off of the 101 and winnetka. Not sure of the actual route to get there, but it would be fun to check it out. maybe a nice cruise along ventura blvd first then down winnetka. anyway, just a thought.
see ya'll tonight.

yo Phil , Was thinking of heading in that direction. Great idea for a destination. I know how to get to that area. Lets try to get a count of where everybody is heading back to after the ride so we can take the ride in that direction.

I feel like a kid again; I'm torn between cutting class and having fun!
I want to do this ride and the Wolfpack on Thursday, but I have classes on both nights.
It won't take much to skip both classes, they're boring as f@&k
By the way, sexy, you have the best handle! :)

What time do you get out of class, we could ride over to your school and scoop you up if your not out to late. You don't want to end up looking like Brad Pitt

Candy Cane Lane is near Corbin and Oxnard st. Just east of Pierce College, about a couple blocks south of the Orange line.
I'm not sure that the lights are up yet, If I get going early enough I'll try to swing by there before critmass and take a quick look.

I googled Candy Cane Lane and it shows in woodland hills. Off of winnetka, just north of the 101. According to google its between Martha St, and Oxnard.
Anyway, it's just an idea. I'm up for anything.

Glad you had fun, BMX girl
IT was the flat tire ride....too many stops and flats. after the majority turned back. We where only about 3/4mile away from Candy Cane lane. It was alright. Not all the house where done yet. IT got cold on the way back. Colder then when we left and went through the park. It was good. Hope to see you all again next month

Great ride Sexy. Those flats were a killer, but you're a good man for turning around and helping out a complete stranger stranded on the bike path with a flat and no tools or spare tubes.

My first SFV CM, and it had a nice number of ridazz. Thanks everybody for putting up with my TWO flats! This thing should be renamed: The Freakin' Freezin' Flat Tire Ride! It was still lots of fun. Nice job everyone for helping out with all the flats.

The Freakin' Freezin' Flat Tire Ride... I like it. Thanks for setting it up sexy. Hope those kids got home ok.
BTW Does anybody know how cold it got last night?

The low in the area we were riding was 38 degrees. I don't know if it was that cold while we were riding, but if it wasn't, it sure was close.

Yes, those kids did get home safe. They took the orange line back with Adam leading the way. My phone fell while hauling a$$ near Balboa park but Leo saved the day with his flashlight. (I'm the asian guy on the mountain bike with red tires.) Is SFV CM once or twice a month?

Hey after that Visions ride, going UP Fairfax, or going uphill in both directions as another whiner like myself put it so aptly, I parked my ss/fixed in the garage and got some gears. Call me a buck-the-trendsetter or an outlaw, but I'm liking my gears. Hills ?, phfft...my legs are getting there.

oh, you meant the other Dave, with his dad, yeah that Dave always seems to show up on every crit mass for some reason, probably too hardcore to let some parking ramps slow him down though.

too bad I missed the ride this month. What was the rides destination? anyone have a gmap of it?

We ended up in Northridge. While riding the Northridge Mall parking lot, a teenager rode up on his bike and asked what it was about. He worked at a movie theatre nearby, so we escorted him there so he could pick something up, and he came out with popcorn for us and the rode back to the starting point with the group. There was also a brief game of frisbee at one of the stops.
