Has anyone gone up to this area? What's the scoop on this? Great places to go swimming? Nice little secluded spots? Nice place if you're a member?

I see big fences around the main upper part, but not the big lower part.
Somebody needs to check this out. If there's no fences, is it trespassing?

Loooks cool.
Can we camp there?
If not there, there's a few recreation areas nearby. Both east and west. 1 night camping. Ride in, ride out. Jolly good.

I've seen it hiking up from Emily's old apartment on Beverly Glen. Looks cool, riding there would be a good challenge but watch out for dorks in nice cars.

correct me if i'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Bel Air is no longer a private community. It's Beverly Park to the East that's the SUPER private one.... So, that specific reservoir should be fair game...

if you're not busted, is it still trespassing?

Ah, the paradox of Google Maps: everything looks accessible from above...

As a result of 9/11, the DWP has undertaken an enhanced safety project including our reservoir. Originally they intended to install a 9 foot chain-link fence topped with razor wire around the entire perimeter. Your representative has fought hard to get a mitigated alternative – a matte black, three strand 6 foot “cattle” fence in all visible areas, allowing the proposed security fence in mostly unseen areas which closely protect the structures and water areas.

This has come-explore-me written all over it! Anyone want to help me put a ride together? Could be either a one day, or a sleep over. Would love to find some isolated spot. The google maps shows alot of potential spots1
