Our own DJ Chicken Leather and Black Woman Sidekick have a weekly show on
KILLRADIO.org called "Talk is still Cheap"
The shows covers happenings in Los Angeles, and covers more in depth then any show around (if not the only show that covers), "The Los Angeles Bicycle Scene."
Check it out on
KILLRADIO.org   on Saturdays from 6pm 8pm
You might hear yourself or someone you know from these rides being interviewed. Important current event of recent past rides are always covered. You may think Chicken Leather is filming the rides, but is really getting audio for this show.
Click on the
LISTEN link at the top of the page to tune in
this thread will be bumped every Saturday at 6pm

I would say most likely they where RBI, although I never heard it.
This show is a real gem.. I just thought today to post it on here. It is hard to catch because of the time and the fact you have to be in front of the computer, unless you listen to the achieves, rip it and put it on disk or mp3 player.
The best pat of the show is that Chicken Leather is pretty open to having everybody be a part of it. You can either arrange to go to the studio with him, or call in.
If your sitting at home in front of the Internet on Sat 6-8pm its a real interactive kick.

you might be thinking of radio free silverlake, which used to do a pirate broadcast in the area, and was known to be "the shit" back in "the day."

I think they sometimes have 98.7fm sometimes, if you are two mile radius of there spot (Vermont/Beverly).
Remember KILLRADIO is a collective, you can become a member and have your own show if you are so inspired. Three general meetings (they happen on the first and fifteen of the month, consensus training, operator training, pay your dues of $10 or $15 a month and your in.
There is a mission statement you have to have your show around, but is pretty general.
Getting listenership is the trick. I know people around here will be interested in over half the stuff on Talk is Still Cheap, that why I started this thread. SATURADAY 6PM - 8PM

another Plug for Chicken Leather. Chicken Leathers reports from the May Day police attacks of last year was the best reporting of the incident of any news reports I heard. He was there on the ground when it happen and interviewed many victims, and like many in the media got struck by the LAPD.

@Sexy
Killradio monthly dues have actually gone up to $20/month.
Otherwise, yeah, if anyone is interested in getting a show on Killradio, it's pretty easy to join in (I've had a show since last September). We actually could use some new blood. Meetings are indeed the 1st and 15th, usually at Philippe's in Chinatown.
@Barleye
He might not upload his shows to the archive. Not all KR DJs do.
