President McCain

I heard some intriguing info this morning stating why McCain may be the Presidential choice of our worlds "shot callers". If you want I will share a link to this info, but I think it will be considered too wacky and right wing (so called) conspiratorial for most of you to take seriously.
I reason I'm starting this thread is to find out why so many of you think Mc Cain will be the next President. Please something besides race.

This is an Audio File from
Radio Alchymy from Roy of Hollywoods Political night on KPFK.
you will need to fast forward to 2:04:40 (2hours 4 minutes 40 seconds) to start where the interview I heard starts. It is a one hour show. This guy may sound kooky to you, but take into consideration, I have a show recorded from nine months ago, where the same guy stated that oil will go up to $150 a barrel and and $5 gallon. It did. I don't say this guy is gospel. I take all info as maybe it is, and maybe it isn't. I take all information I take in, and make decision on what is truth day by day. The truth for me seems to change day by day. WHO KNOWS?
It isn't until about 40 minutes into the interview that he states why the World Rulers think McCain is there choice

it's not hard to see why "the powers that be" (read: money interests) would want McCain.... he's a dum dum so he won't think much he'll just do what his advisors (read: shadow gevernment) tell him to do. being that he's a dum dum he has a simplistic view of the world and it will be easy to talk him into the same kind of shit they talked Bush and Reagan into doing. we're on a 40 year plan folks. It aint over for a loooooooong time.

This one seems like a no-brainer to me. I haven't listened to the interview yet, but even without that, both parties tend to do the bidding of big money, but the GOP toes the line drawn by corporate money much more closely than the Democratic party. Beyond that, Obama paints himself as something of a wildcard, so is less predictable than your typical democratic candidate, and he's had quite a bit of success raising money outside the normal large-donor channels, which is also a threat. So far, Obama hasn't really outlined any policies that drift dramatically from the dem party line, but that could still change, and he'll never be quite as in their pocket as a more typical candidate.
Within the confines of the dem platform, aggressively moving for withdrawal from Iraq really threatens a ton of corporate revenue as well as the long term interests of the oil companies. Nationalized health insurance of any kind is obviously a threat to the medical insurance industry. But those are issues that they will have to deal with from any democrat in this race and aren't particularly Obama specific - but it does explain why they'd prefer a McCain win. Perhaps most importantly, a return to a sense of fiscal responsibility dramatically threatens the accumulation of capital amongst the top 0.5% or so that will accelerate if we continue down the path to a banana republic that we are currently on. Unfortunately, I don't see Obama's candidacy as offering much hope about changing the overall direction of fiscal policy. No one is talking about making big changes to the structure of the tax code to redistribute some of the wealth and make a big dent in the national debt. At best, we are talking about once again
approaching a balanced budget, which is only a fraction of what we need.
Oh, and a democrat in office means there may well be a lot more pressure on the financial services industry to pay for a higher percentage of their own mistakes rather than letting middle class taxpayers bail them out entirely yet again.

McCain may be the Presidential choice of our worlds "shot callers".
That's an erroneous premise.
It assumes that there is one set of "shot callers" while in fact there are many with competing interests.
While Bush's policies may have enriched the oil companies and the weapons/security industries there are many other industries that aren't doing so well.
And with the dollar sinking so low he has made even the rich poorer. The truth is whatever plan the neocons had didn't go according to plan and too many things got screwed on the way. The Bush war on terror can't continue. It screwed up even the capitalists.
