TIME 4 A CALANDAR CZAR?

Seems like people can't figure out how to avoid posting their rides more than once on the calendar section.------------------>
Shit, there's even one ride posted three times!!
I'm making it a point to not go to any rides that abuse the system here. If everyone did this, you think the organizers would get the hint? Probably not! So lets have a Calendar Czar to manage the calendar section? RB has enough crap to deal with, that's why I'm suggesting this.

I hear you. the new site will fix all of this stuff. the double posting is probably due to a glitch in the software rather than a careless poster... I'll try to clean it up today.

Sometimes when you're posting a ride, and it doesn't like the pic that you picked, it breaks. But it turns out the ride WAS posted, just no pics. So you keep trying and trying, and you find that you have posted the same ride several times.
There needs to be away to DELETE your ride. The only thing I figured out how to do is change the date to sometime in the PAST. Which just buries it.

I've posted a ride redudnantly... i got rid of it by "EDITING RIDE" and changing the date to a date thats past! I also use to change the date of the Los Angelopes rides every month so I didnt have to repost that long ass post every time...DATE CHANGE PLAY GOD FTW

You just gota jazz it up a bit when you post. Do something clever like say "4" instead of "for". Also get a spiffy name on the thread like "CALANDAR CZAR". Lastly, CAP THE WHOLE FREAKIN TITLE!

the bummer part about changing the posts each month rather than creating new ones is that you lose the archive of the ride.

Dan said words of wisdom....I always post new rides...documenting the rides in video, pics, AND ON THE CALENDAR.

I actually liked that idea for Los Angelopes// every one was a piece of history undocumented and unique and treated like the last ride ever.. it actually went with the theme of the ride.. Hence - no Los Angelopes Spoke Cards either! Just legendary stories...
