rides need to go in circles

hio!
some of us don't have cars and when we start in downtown and end up on the beach...well thats a beach
if u guys are planning a ride lets have it in a loop or close to the starting location
that also makes planning easier bcs we know where it stops and where it ends
what you guys think?
reply
Some do, some don't. If it's important to you, go on the ones that do.

a lot of rides actually do return to the beginning. of course, there are many that don't.... regardless, you can usually link up with a group that is heading back to the start or just heading to your area afterwards. speak up and ask the crowd at the end of the ride "any one going back to the start?" or "anyone going to [my area]" and 9 times out of 10 there will be someone going in your direction.

I was on that 1 out of 10 rides that didn't..my first ride, THE DEAD END RIDE ended at some ridazz's house in like Atwater or Glendale....I was on my piece of shit cruiser and was freezing at 1am riding with my GF to get to our car. good luck.

don't be afraid to ask where the ride ends!
if it's too far...pick a spot on the ride, and turn back around!
there's no rule that you HAVE to finish the ride!

this doesn't even make any sense
what would having a car help? the car would still be in downtown
if you don't have a car you could just ride home whether or not you happen to be where you started.
anyway, riders should be self sufficient. i'll always help someone out in trouble but people should try to be able to take care of themselves. it's not like the beach is a mysterious hidden location, it's pretty much always been there...

The beach has NOT always been there! We were once part of a gigantic land mass and then the plates separated and formed the continents that we all know and love today. So my advice to user "aksendz" is to wait patiently, let nature take its course, and eventually Koreatown will be at the beach!

If you're so confident you can pass for a twenty-two year old why are you worried about the curfew time?

Yeah, but see provision C for when it does not apply:
"c. when the minor is attending or going to or returning directly home from a public meeting, or a place of public environment, such as a movie, play, sporting event, dance or school activity"
Riding home from a ride should count. So, while this doesn't stop the police from hassling you, they shouldn't have any sort of actual case against you.
Still, riding home alone from a ride does suck. On the other hand, I have always found someone to ride with when I wanted one.

aksendz,
post on here before you head to a ride and ask who will be heading back your way. you can plan it here before the ride even happens or just ask at the end of the ride like everyone else is suggesting.
if that isn't good enough, then ask me nicely and i might consider letting you use my teleportation device to zap you from the end of the ride back to your home.
isn't it kinda silly to complain about riding home after you just rode 20 miles or so with the group?

I wish I could zap people places with my teleportation device.

A cop stopped me in front of Tang's and demanded my ID for curfew a few months ago.
Anyway if you do the Friday night ride right you won't be going home for two more days, so don't worry too much where you end the night.

@ barleye,
I thought I was the only one that experience being lost after the DEAD END RIDE. All I remember that it was a short ride and that ended somewhere in Atwater. I was just getting warmed up, then boom the ride was over. On the way back, liquid courage and adrenaline clouded my judgement, and I thought I could climb Fargo. Made it to the pitch at the top of the climb and fell over.
Good times though.

I agree that riding home alone at 3 am is skechy ,but I came to ride bike and ride my bike a shall!!!If you are worried about getting back to your car leave it at home,it's just going to get a ticket or get towed or broken into anyway.
